A year ago today I was at Rockefeller Center to support my Ls in Delta Sigma Theta Sonority, Inc.♥️ 🔺.
We went from the back of line blocks away to somehow up front on tv asking The Cheryl Crow a question. Wow!

I said 7 years survivor, Wrong !
I guess I stopped counting, missed a couple of years
Went from survivor to Thriver
It’s been 10 years as a breast cancer survivor.
Ten years!💗smh I blame menopause brain lol

Here’s to the survivors, the thrivers, those still fighting, and the loved ones we carry with us.

Please make the appointment. Make a plan. Get your screening. 🎀
Deltas wear pink too 🔺♥️

Happy Anniversary to my beautiful sister and brother-in-love. 🤍

Looking through these pictures has me thinking about just how much has come from this union.

From doing her birthday parties when she was growing up to helping her say yes to the dress, my sister has probably been one of my longest-standing unpaid clients. 😂 She has always let me do what I do.

But somewhere along the way, the roles shifted a little. She became one of the people encouraging me. She encouraged me to take my talent seriously, to see it as something worth sharing, and ultimately to turn it into a business.

And now here we are.

This beautiful union has birthed three new beginnings — Roman, RLC Events, and The Styled Balloon. ❤️

There is something really special about being able to look back at where we started and see where life has taken us. I’m so proud of my sister, the wife and mother she has become, the business she has built, and the life they are creating together.

And I’m forever grateful that while I was busy believing in her, she was believing in me too.

Happy Anniversary to you both. I love you. 🤍#anniversarygoals #sayyestothedress #weddingseason #womanownedsmallbusiness #blacklove

My aunt says I did NOT like that picture-day outfit… but demanded all those bows in my hair. 😂

Knowing my personality today, that tracks.

The red never left. Neither did the need to make it mine. 🎀❤️
Who else had that awful mirror picture in grade school? #blackgirlswithstyle #pictureday #deltagirl

I was so busy doing balloons, I couldn’t decide what to wear… so I threw it all in the bag. 😂

Lucky for me, Rookie Year had a Part 2.

I restyled the balloons, we grabbed a few family photos… and of course I restyled myself too. 😏
Left my Cowboys at home, didn’t want to fight a little Giant lol

The first annual dance honoring our mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and mother figures who sacrifice day in and day out to help shape and build the next generation of leaders. Mothers/women are the closest things to God in this life. A mother is strength when the world feels heavy; a mother is peace in the middle of chaos. Your love creates leaders. Today and every day, we thank you for the countless things seen and unseen that you do for your families and the world around you.
