🆘 URGENT POST!!! DEADLINE 11/5/26 ‼️ PICASSO NEEDS OUT ASAP 🙏
DM if you can foster or adopt ?

Meet Picasso! (A2478393)
2-Years-Old | 50 Pounds

Picasso originally came to us as a stray back in July. He was adopted in August but was returned a week later after a near-bite incident. He was re-adopted by his previous family as they wanted to give it a second shot, but they made the ultimate decision to return him when his mouthiness worried them still.

Picasso is a very, very friendly and affectionate dog. He is housebroken and knows “sit,” and he has shown himself to be quite the greeter to any strangers here at the shelter. He tends to become overstimulated when being petted or playing, though, leading to his mouthiness. He is currently on quarantine after he ended up tooth-scratching his latest pre-adopter’s hand while at home.

Picasso needs proper training to work on managing his mouthy behaviors to prevent any future bites or accidental injuries. We are looking for a transfer partner who can commit to getting Picasso the help he needs so he can eventually be safely adopted again.

***Picasso is only available for transfer via an approved partner. He must receive commitment by Thursday, 11/5.***

$🚨🚨 BROWARD ANIMAL CARE FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA🚨🚨 Urgent RESCUE Placement Needed For Senior Male Lhasa Apso ‘Doogie’ (A2481602) - *Please Share Post* Meet Doogie! #A2481602 12-Years-Old | 17 Pounds Doogie arrived at the shelter on 10/19/26 as a stray. Meet Doogie, a 12-year-old male Lhasa Apso who arrived at Broward County Animal Care in poor physical condition and is urgently seeking rescue placement due to multiple serious medical concerns. He has a possible owner hold so he may or may not be returned back to the owner. During his medical examination, Doogie was found to be severely underweight, with a body condition score of 2/9 and prominent ribs, spine, and hip bones. He is suffering from severe dental disease, including two fractured upper canine teeth, heavy plaque buildup, and advanced periodontal disease. He also has significant eye concerns, including discharge and inflammation in both eyes, pigmentary keratitis, and signs of visual impairment. Additionally, Doogie has extensive hair loss, thin and fragile skin, poor coat quality, and significant facial matting consistent with chronic dermatological disease. Of particular concern, Doogie is experiencing paraphimosis, a condition in which the penis remains protruded beyond the preputial opening. The affected tissue shows signs of necrosis, raising serious concerns regarding compromised blood supply and tissue viability. Urinary incontinence was also noted. This condition requires immediate veterinary attention. Given his age and extensive medical needs, Doogie urgently requires an experienced rescue partner capable of providing veterinary treatment, supportive care, and a safe environment where he can recover comfortably. We are urgently appealing to our rescue partners to help Doogie receive the care and compassion he deserves. Please contact Broward County Animal Care if your organization can assist with his placement. For more information about transferring Doogie, please contact us at: Transfer@Broward.org$

🚨💔 GORDON NEEDS A RESCUE NOW! PLEASE DON’T LOOK AWAY! 💔🚨

7 YEARS OLD | RESCUE ONLY | PAST HIS OCTOBER 7 DEADLINE

📍 Broward County Animal Care | Fort Lauderdale, FL
🐾 Gordon #A2480759

Yesterday, I shared Gordon’s story, hoping someone would step forward to save him. There was some confusion about his whereabouts, and I have since learned that GORDON NEVER LEFT THE SHELTER. 💔

He’s been there this entire time, even after his October 7 deadline.

Gordon was found trembling behind a tree on September 22. He was frightened, underweight, and suffering from nerve damage that has left his right front leg paralyzed.

His little paw curls underneath him, and he has developed sores from dragging it. He needs medical attention, and he needs a rescue willing to take on his care.

But PLEASE look beyond his injuries. 🥹

I spent time with Gordon, and what I saw was a sweet boy with the most soulful eyes, who still wants affection, gives kisses, and has so much love left to give.

He’s only seven years old. He deserves so much more than spending his remaining years behind shelter walls.

🚨 GORDON IS RESCUE ONLY AND NEEDS AN ORGANIZATION TO STEP FORWARD! 🚨

❤️🐾 THE DANIA PROJECT WILL HELP! 🐾❤️

Through The Dania Project, I am committed to organizing a fundraiser to help the rescue that pulls Gordon with his medical expenses. I know taking on a senior dog with medical needs is a tremendous commitment, and I want to help make that commitment a little easier.

Gordon has already been through so much. He shouldn’t have to face the rest of his life alone in a shelter.

🙏 PLEASE, RESCUES, WILL SOMEONE GIVE GORDON A CHANCE?

If you are a rescue organization interested in helping Gordon, please contact Broward County Animal Care directly.

If you cannot rescue, PLEASE SHARE, TAG RESCUES, and help get his story in front of someone who can.

Gordon has survived so much already. Please don’t let his story end on a shelter floor. 💔

🆘 SHY GUY IS ON BORROWED TIME NOW - DM pet of the week if you can foster ?

‼️DEADLINE OCT 15th
SAVE A LIFE - SHY GUY NEEDS A HERO TO SAY YES!!!!!‼️

‼️Urgent‼️

Meet Shy Guy! (A2479469)
5-Years-Old | Male
American Staffordshire Terrier Mix | 59lbs

Shy Guy was a stray who came to us back in early August. The poor guy was terrified and acted very defensively toward anyone who tried handling him. We don’t know Shy Guy’s full story, but we do know he deserves the chance to be in a home and know what it is to be loved.

Shy Guy has shown some resource guarding around food and treats both in and out his kennel. Unfortunately, we are unable to really get to know him fully as this behavior poses a safety risk to staff, so his handling and enrichment is very limited. However, Shy Guy can be playful and affectionate and we are hoping to place him with a transfer partner or adopter that is willing to give him a chance and work with this sweet boy.

*Shy Guy must receive commitment from a transfer partner or adopter by Thursday, October 15.*
