DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH.. can be tricky to navigate. When I was trying to conceive and then got pregnant, I did extensive research on what I should be taking. So many multi-vitamins, so many brands. I wanted to simplify things - what was the robust scientific evidence for 1. Optimising my ovarian health and then, 2. In pregnancy -to reduce pregnancy complications. I also spoke to my Obstetrician @drkarenjoash @thethrivehouse.uk about what to take, (Folic Acid, Choline, Magnesium..in appropriate doses) given I did not have great confidence in the various multivitamins with numerous ingredients that were being marketed to women.

A 2021 Italian scientific review evaluated the effect of nutraceuticals on various female reproductive outcomes and found that most dietary supplements marketed were mostly blends of substances at negligible doses and without any evidence they actually had any effect.

So What supplements do you take?

THRIVE POWER CIRCLES 2023

Over the past 5 months, the iconic Ms. Joash has inspired us with her incredible THRIVE series, enriching our lives and guiding us on our paths to thrive.

Last week marked the first face-to-face Thrive Power Circle’s event, a collaboration between @thethrivehouse.uk , @blackfemaledrs.uk and @moderndaymedics which focused on leadership. The event was nothing short of exceptional, granting us the opportunity to finally meet in person with an abundance of unity, compassion and empowerment.

This is only the beginning; there’s much yet to come, and the anticipation is palpable. Stay connected by following @thethrivehouse.uk !

Individually, we are strong but together, we become an absolute force to be reckoned with.

Shout out to our brilliant MC - @talkswithdrsesay ! Thank you to the above organisations for partnering with us.
