Healing and life elevation require thought optimization.

Everything you say and everything you do is the result of something you thought.

This is one of the simplest formulas, yet so many people miss this part of the healing process. You can spend years searching for the next healing modality, the next relationship, the next location, the next job, or the next situation, but you get nowhere if you neglect optimizing, managing, and paying attention to the thoughts you allow all day long.

Every thought is an input. Every thought generates what you say and what you do.
Everything you are experiencing in your life right now is the result of what you say and what you do. And again, everything you say and everything you do is the result of a thought.
Pay attention to the thought first.

This clip is from my conversation with @thetjsweet on The Sweet Life.

Comment HEAL if you want a list of the thoughts you can optimize right now to accelerate your healing and elevate every area of your life.

Some events fill your notebook. Others fill your soul. ❤️

Last weekend, I had the privilege of speaking at the 67th Annual Eagle Summit in St. Louis, and I walked away with far more than another speaking experience.

I experienced something increasingly rare: a community where genuine human connection wasn’t just talked about. It was felt.

@sandywardenburg and @thetjsweet have created something truly special. Their heart-centered leadership brought together incredible speakers and wonderful people in an environment filled with authenticity, vulnerability, laughter, and belonging.

The theme was Human by Design: Thrive in the Age of AI. How fitting that some of the most powerful moments had nothing to do with technology. They happened when people lowered their defenses, shared their stories, and connected as human beings.

I was honored to share my entrepreneurial journey and my belief that psychological safety and vulnerability aren’t weaknesses. They’re essential to meaningful leadership and fulfillment.

But the real magic was the community itself. The conversations, the openness, the extraordinary speakers, and the genuine care people showed one another.

The legacy of Dr. Tom Hill is clearly alive and well.

AI can make us more efficient, but it can never replace the experience of being truly seen, heard, and understood.

Thank you, Sandy, TJ, and the entire Eagle Summit family. You reminded me why human connection matters so much.

Grateful to have been part of something so special. ❤️

One of my favorite things is randomly stumbling onto a new idea that completely changes the way I look at something.

A few weeks ago, one of the dads on Brooks’ football team, who’s a professor, started talking to me about René Girard and mimetic desire — basically the idea that a lot of what we think we independently want is actually shaped by watching what other people want.

That sent me down a rabbit hole and eventually led me to Luke Burgis.

I started with Wanting: The Power of Mimetic Desire in Everyday Life and absolutely loved it. Then I went straight into The One and the Ninety-Nine: Forging Identity in the Age of Social Contagion and just finished that one too.

What I like about Burgis is that this isn’t just another version of “think positive, set goals, work harder.” He’s asking a more uncomfortable question:

Where did your goals and desires come from in the first place?

How much of what we chase — success, status, money, possessions, recognition, even certain versions of ourselves — is actually ours, and how much of it was unconsciously borrowed from the people and culture around us?

That idea has really stuck with me, especially because I’ve always valued thinking independently and not just following the herd. Mimetic theory forces you to go one level deeper and question whether even some of the things you think make you independent might still be reactions to everyone else.

Two books later, I think I found another author and thinker I’m going to be following for a long time.

Funny how one conversation on the sidelines of a 7-year-old football practice can open an entirely new rabbit hole.

Tag your strong friends - they need you too.

I had $2.7 million in debt and no one to call. Or everyone to call but I chose isolation.

Bankruptcy has a number attached to it. What the number doesn’t show is the silence after. I’d spent years being the one who held everything together, and holding everything together had quietly hollowed out every real relationship I had. That’s the tax nobody puts in the spreadsheet.

Leadership loneliness is real, and it compounds. CEO loneliness, imposter syndrome, the weight of being the strong friend in every room, those things don’t fix themselves by working harder or hitting a bigger revenue number.

Sending this to the person in your life who always picks up for everyone else but never asks for help themselves. Tag them or forward this their way.

Sometimes the biggest thing standing between you and your next level isn’t your ability—it’s the story you’re telling yourself about why you shouldn’t walk through the door.

“I’m not experienced enough.”
“I don’t know anyone.”
“I’ll go next year.”
“They probably already have their circle.”

I’ve learned that some of the most meaningful conversations happen because you choose courage over comfort. One introduction can become a friendship. One conversation can become a collaboration. One room can shift the trajectory of your business.

This past weekend at the National Speakers Association’s Influence conference, I was reminded that investing in yourself and your relationships is never wasted. I’m especially grateful for the incredible women I shared the experience with—my BBB girls. 💗

The question isn’t whether you’re ready.

The question is: What might be waiting for you if you simply decide to show up?

👇 What’s one room, event, or opportunity you’ve been talking yourself out of attending?

You can pay now or pay later, but if you pay later-the cost will be GREATER.

Healing and life elevation require more than spiritual practice.

Your physical body deserves the same care and attention as your mind and your spirit, after all your body is the one your soul gets to navigate this life in.

Healing and life optimization require trust. And you are the only one who can create the trust in your body, mind and consciousness that will allow the healing to occur and all that needs to happen “to happen” for you to live your most extraordinary life.
