This fall is going to be a fun one.

St. Louis. Las Vegas. Columbia. Marthasville. And a virtual stage in between.

Every room will be different. Different people. Different industries. Different challenges.

But the message underneath all of it is the same.

People perform better when they feel connected.

Connected to the people around them.
Connected to the purpose behind their work.
Connected to what matters most in their lives.

That’s the work I get to do, and I don’t take it for granted.

I’m incredibly grateful for every organization trusting me with their people over the next few months.

If you’re going to be at one of these events, come find me. I’d love to meet you.

And if you’re planning an event for 2027, I’d love to talk about what human connection could look like on your stage.

I recently had an incredible experience meeting with the Americare Senior Living team in Indy. They’re focused on learning, growing, connecting, and building deeper relationships through conversations with their teams and communities they serve. Their leaders are rooted in trust, gratitude, compassion, and connection.

I always get inspired by being surrounded by such optimistic and dedicated leadership teams! They’re a wonderful team and I’m grateful for every chance I get to meet with them.

Thank you to Sarah LaVaute (Mazzocco) SHRM-SCP, M.EdTech and MeKayla Chalupa for your efforts to make sure my message was aligned perfectly with your team! taken in Indianapolis, IN by @thetjsweet

Healing and life elevation require thought optimization.

Everything you say and everything you do is the result of something you thought.

This is one of the simplest formulas, yet so many people miss this part of the healing process. You can spend years searching for the next healing modality, the next relationship, the next location, the next job, or the next situation, but you get nowhere if you neglect optimizing, managing, and paying attention to the thoughts you allow all day long.

Every thought is an input. Every thought generates what you say and what you do.
Everything you are experiencing in your life right now is the result of what you say and what you do. And again, everything you say and everything you do is the result of a thought.
Pay attention to the thought first.

This clip is from my conversation with @thetjsweet on The Sweet Life.

Comment HEAL if you want a list of the thoughts you can optimize right now to accelerate your healing and elevate every area of your life.

It’s a privilege to do things that challenge you. It’s a privilege to do something you’re so passionate about and to be tired from doing it. Don’t skip over the joy in the journey because that is worth fulfillment is found.

Maybe the first step to living the good life is maybe realizing you’re already living it.
Free yourself from the constant pursuit of more. Pay attention to what you have and be where your feet are. The version of you now will also be the version of you that can choose to be grateful for more when you get it. taken in St. Louis, Missouri by @thetjsweet

I have been thinking a lot about the difference between who we intend to be and how other people actually experience us.
Because those two things are not always the same.
You can love somebody and still hurt them.
You can care deeply and still miss something.
You can believe you are listening and realize the other person does not feel heard.
That does not automatically make you a bad person.
It means you are human.
My conversation with @charlottegbrenner with @yourinnervue on Living The Sweet Life went deep into this.
Charlotte is the co-founder of InnerVue, and her work is centered around helping people understand themselves more clearly by looking not only at how they see themselves, but also at how the people closest to them experience them.
She said something I loved:
Awareness gives you the ability to choose.
You do not have to become somebody else.
You do not have to shrink.
You do not have to please everybody.
But once you know your impact, you get to decide whether it matches the person you actually want to be.
We also talked about something Charlotte calls the undertruth.
Sometimes we think we are arguing about dishes, being late, somebody’s tone, a text message, or who did what.
But underneath it, the real conversation might be:
“I do not feel seen.”
“I do not feel appreciated.”
“I feel alone in this.”
“I need reassurance.”
That is the conversation underneath the conversation.
And I think the faster we get there, the better chance we have of actually connecting.
Charlotte also gave me a phrase that has stuck with me:
Everybody wants a village, but not everybody wants to be a villager.
That challenged me.
Because we all want people who care enough to ask how we are doing.
We all want people who remember.
People who check in.
People who show up.
But are we doing that for other people?
I have said for a long time that I believe consideration is one of the deepest forms of love.
For me, consideration means having the desire to give effort before the effort is required.
It is caring about somebody’s week before they tell you they are overwhelmed.
It is noticing their energy.
It is asking the next question. taken in St. Louis, Missouri by @thetjsweet

Some events fill your notebook. Others fill your soul. ❤️

Last weekend, I had the privilege of speaking at the 67th Annual Eagle Summit in St. Louis, and I walked away with far more than another speaking experience.

I experienced something increasingly rare: a community where genuine human connection wasn’t just talked about. It was felt.

@sandywardenburg and @thetjsweet have created something truly special. Their heart-centered leadership brought together incredible speakers and wonderful people in an environment filled with authenticity, vulnerability, laughter, and belonging.

The theme was Human by Design: Thrive in the Age of AI. How fitting that some of the most powerful moments had nothing to do with technology. They happened when people lowered their defenses, shared their stories, and connected as human beings.

I was honored to share my entrepreneurial journey and my belief that psychological safety and vulnerability aren’t weaknesses. They’re essential to meaningful leadership and fulfillment.

But the real magic was the community itself. The conversations, the openness, the extraordinary speakers, and the genuine care people showed one another.

The legacy of Dr. Tom Hill is clearly alive and well.

AI can make us more efficient, but it can never replace the experience of being truly seen, heard, and understood.

Thank you, Sandy, TJ, and the entire Eagle Summit family. You reminded me why human connection matters so much.

Grateful to have been part of something so special. ❤️

In order to create something new, we have to let go of something old. Maybe it’s the story that you’ve been telling yourself. The power of telling yourself a new story will give you the courage and confidence to go after your dreams. taken in St. Louis, Missouri by @thetjsweet
