In the latest episode of exposure therapy, Miranda bravely faces a song that brings up painful memories while practicing SEVERAL healthy coping mechanisms💪🏼. We love a resilient queen👏🏼 (Miranda is also practicing self validation, mirror work, somatic therapy etc etc)

This has been the loneliest leg of my healing journey so far. I’m grateful for the lessons and the opportunity to better know myself and connect with myself. I’m proud of the work I’ve done and the strides I’ve made towards my goals. Success looks different for me at this stage of my life and career: success is showing up for myself, continuing to learn and grow, and doing my work.

My art is living well and documenting it, it’s modeling the practices that saved my life, it’s sharing the knowledge I fought super hard for across different platforms, mediums, and modalities, it is showing up as myself and allowing that to be polarizing. It is embracing the fact that I’m not for everyone; I’m a big, beautiful, messy human being. I am no longer interested in being small or fitting molds that were never meant to hold me.

I appreciate the support from some of you and the silence from others, thank you for not saying anything if you don’t have anything kind to say. I don’t need everyone to understand what I’m doing here or support me in it. I understand what I’m doing here, it’s a necessary step in my process, and sharing that process has helped people (and will continue to help people). That’s a win, that’s growth, that’s success.

The things I’m doing here would’ve been unthinkable for Miranda a year ago. I have masked and people pleased and made myself small my entire life, I have poured so much of my energy into the effort to be normal and palatable. I am no longer wasting that energy and it is LIBERATING.

Thank you to my friends that are witnessing and encouraging me on this journey, it means more than I could ever say🤍
