Here’s a little look back at Flip & Flappin’ Bird Puppets with Canberra artist Tom Buckland, where cardboard and recycled materials were transformed into wonderfully weird, moving bird puppets. Three weeks of making, tinkering, experimenting, and getting these little creatures ready to flip, flap and come to life. Thanks to everyone who came along and got their hands messy with us. It is our great pleasure to introduce you to Home Invader - a work by artist Tom Buckland. It’s not often a cockroach named Malcolm gets to be the hero of a show, but here he is in all his wonder! May we all take a moment to consider our homes through the eyes of the tiny co-inhabitants🪳🪰🦟🕷️🦟 Tom BUCKLAND’s work in DOMESTIC DREAMS, Wayout Artspace 8 March – 26 April is … Home invader, 2017-2022 Cardboard, silicone, found objects, acrylic paint, found footage. 100cm x 150cm x 150cm.
