Which one?
Which one should be removed?
Which one should be separated from their family?
Which one should be punished for being born?
Which one should be bred, dumped & given a deadline?
Which one should be deemed dangerous?
Which one should be re-homed time and time again?
Which one should be expected to fit an agenda?

For many this is what it means to be “living symbols of the historic and pioneer spirit of the west.”

Please write and call Congress. Tell them how important our Wild Horses and Burros are. Tell them each one matters.

“This doesn’t hurt the horses.”

Meet Warm Springs Horses Fee and Cedar. Pulled from a 4 hour direct ship to sl@ughter sale. At such a young age both boys brought heavy baggage out of the lot when @paradisewaitsmustangs found them. Cedar was used for kids roping and wild horse races. His nerve damage caused a neck wobble and at first he would fall over at the gallop. The rope burns silently told his story..Fee was the last little stud colt waiting for rescue that no one wanted but Paradise Waits Mustangs saw him, they saw his spirit and they brought him home.

A 2020 study published in the National Library of Medicine found horse skin is remarkably similar to human skin in its capacity to detect pain. So when I read these comments I want to suggest the humans give it a go…let’s see how bad it hurts.

So grateful to all of those working tirelessly to save even ONE life. It all matters. Don’t grow weary from the lack of accountability and truth disguised as justification. #wildhorses #warmspringsmustang #protectwildhorses #changeyourperspective #tuesdaytestimonial 🤎🐴🐴

Can we change the chatter? There is a lot of noise that circulates the Wild Horse issues. It is often unhelpful and clutters the actual issues.
—
Anyone, anywhere can support Wild Horses. Even if you can’t adopt one and you aren’t a “horse person”.

STEP 1: EDUCATE YOURSELF. This is the most important step. Read beyond social media click bait and learn about the issues. Especially before posting or commenting.

STEP 2: SHARE THEIR STORIES. Do you love a specific HMA? Tell your friends. Have a horse you have followed? Document their story. Social media is great but word of mouth and experience is better! Utilize art and photography to strike up interest in those that may not even know Wild Horses exist.

STEP 3: SUPPORT RESCUE. Do your due diligence and support a valid rescue team that is working hard to intercept at risk mustangs and burros.

STEP 4: ADVOCATE PRODUCTIVELY. This is vital. Rage baiting opposing views does zero for the horses. Write Congress, join local efforts to educate, play nice with others.

Fun facts about Me🫶🏻:
-In 2024 I knew very little of Wild Horses.
-2025 was my year of the Mustang, jumping in full force and finding incredible humans doing the work day in and day out like @sh1_va , to mentor my education.
-I don’t currently have any Mustangs of my own but my heart is overloaded with love for many.
-I will never be the same version of myself.
—
It’s easy to see how many obstacles the wild horses face, sometimes we miss how many humans are out there pouring love into the Mustang.
—
Let’s start a Mustang Movement 💛
-Share your stories below
-Send me a short clip or photo of you and your Wild Horse experience
-I will be sharing stories for the rest of February ✨

Scrolling in sadness? Overwhelmed feeling there’s nothing you can do?

Contact Congress (21)224-3121
Leave a message or speak to your representatives. Voice your concerns so others will hear you…I don’t hear people well when they are just angry. If you feel uncomfortable calling you can also write your representatives.
—
Share factual content. It’s easy to see a headline and jump the gun. Research before you share. Emotionally charged content will not help the horses if it isn’t factual.
—
This work is hard. Not just mentally or emotionally but physically. Support others that are boots on the ground. Share, like, comment, donate, send them money for a coffee ❤️
—
Are you thinking of getting a horse? Maybe feel you’re not ready for a wild untouched mustang? There are hundreds being rehomed or that have been started in training. They are in need of a home! Reach out to others with experience and let them guide you to the best place to start.
—
Together we can BE solutions to the problems we are facing. #horsegirlenergy #wildhorses #mustangs #strongertogether❤️ #provethemwrong

All of us @ease are so grateful this year to our horses, our hosts, our volunteers, our participants, our amazing donors, our mentors, collaborators and finally our believers who made this season one for the books. We feel so blessed to deliver the amazing mission of providing transformative experiences to our fellow trauma travelers on their journeys of courage. Thanks for your interest in what we do and stay tuned for an amazing year. Happy Thanksgiving.
