The mighty John Harrison champlevé enamel ww.tc by G-P. On the dial is the journey undertaken by John Harrison's son William from Portsmouth, England, to Port Royal, Jamaica, against a map of the Atlantic Ocean. The trip lasted from November 1761 to March 1762 and was intended to test the reliability of the H-4 timepiece, developed to calculate longitude. LE 50 pieces. Simply amazing and mesmerizing white gold timepiece.

Retired Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman (SEAC) Ramón “CZ” Colón-López served as the SEAC of the Joint Chiefs of Staff @thejointstaff from Dec. 13, 2019 to Nov. 3, 2023. According to the the Department’s website, “the SEAC is the most senior enlisted service member, by position, in the United States Armed Forces, and serves as the principal military advisor to the Chairman on all matters involving joint and combined total force integration, utilization, health of the force, and joint development for enlisted personnel.” To put that in perspective, at the time of CZ’s retirement a little over two years ago, there were about one million active duty Service Members in the U.S. Armed Forces (1,038,909 according to the 2023 Demographics Profile of the Military Community). So, according to facts, population-based data, and math, CZ is quite literally one in a million! Speaking of remarkable things, CZ has the most remarkable collection of @panerai watches @sendmethedtg has ever come across. He also has a highway named after him in Puerto Rico, and his book, Carnivore Leadership, is officially set to be released next month. I could go on, but Instagram limits the length of posts. Believe it or not, CZ still finds time to give back and contribute to impactful nonprofits like the @robertirvinefoundation. Bottom line, CZ is a stellar human being with some absolutely rad watches! This could easily be the everyday carry (EDC) for a seasoned Special Mission Unit Operator. It could just as easily be the EDC for a high-speed pilot at the 160th SOAR or a Brigade-level and up Senior Enlisted Advisor. However, this is the EDC for a SOF community volunteer that’s not served in the military, but is devoted to the SOF community in ways most aren’t. This EDC belongs to a full-time wealth advisor that selflessly volunteers their time and resources to everybody from Medal of Honor (MOH) recipients to former SOF Operators and Enablers in need of a simple act of kindness to get them out of a tight spot. This was his EDC while down in Miami this week on a work trip doing wealth advisor things. The @specialoperationshockey coin, kept in his suit pocket, was given to him last week by a retired SOF Operator/U.S. Navy SEAL he and his family hosted for Thanksgiving. The Special Operations Hockey challenge coin was a simple, yet deeply meaningful, gift to this unnamed wealth advisor for supporting the former SEAL’s unique charity which circles the SOF family wagons around hockey! This lean mean fighting machine is an old teammate of mine, and quite honestly one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. He’s pictured here in Central Baghdad circa 2004-2005 holding a highly-modified custom M4 variant in his right hand (with sound trigger discipline I might add) and rocking what is either a @casiowatches_official G-Shock DW6600 or Pre-Core @suunto Navitec on his left wrist (he alternated between these two tools during that time). In his back pasture are the Swords of Qādisīyah which are affectionately referred to as the Hands of Victory. I asked my man what he’s doing in this photo, and he said “getting a picture for family.” I will be the first to tell you his outfit would be considered irregular even for the most irregular of irregular forces. However, believe it or not, the short sleeve shirt he’s fashioning that’s so awkwardly buttoned atop his front plate carrier is actually serving a bona fide purpose that may have been caught by those of you looking through a trained lens. The shirt is intentionally draped over him to cover and conceal [REDACTED] equipment as an operational security measure at the time. The added bonus is the color of the shirt pairs well with his [redacted] eyes. Wanted to take a sec and recognize family in this Thanksgiving post. This is my cousin’s @rolex Submariner. We’re from the same small town in the south. We didn’t have much growing up, but it’s fair to say he had less than I did. We were not particularly close when we were in school back home, but later in life the military brought us together (one of the many things I’m grateful to the military for). We both did active time, deployments, and specialty schools. When we entered into the reserve force as older men he was screened, assessed, and selected to become a member of my reserve unit. So, now you have two poor cousins from the dirty south that made it out and are now in the same unit running around doing great things with some pretty impressive tools on their wrists (e.g., @rolex @tudorwatch @oris @sangin.instruments @chriswardlondon etc). Old “Cuz” is an impressive man. By way of his ADHD superpowers, he’s always able to find the bright side of any bad situation (I’m sure he needed that unlimited reservoir of optimism in Ranger School). He’s a prior service enlisted Marine turned Army officer. When he came off active duty he joined the Secret Service. After a few years there he moved over to ATF where he’s fighting the good fight today! Most importantly, he’s the father of a beautiful child, and he and his lovely wife have another bun in the oven! So much to be thankful for! Speaking of thanking people for things on this day that is quite literally for thanking people for things, Cuz is to thank for my somewhat unreasonable obsession with watches (and watch straps). Featured here is retired U.S. Army Colonel Anthony Zeruto’s @blancpain1735 Fifty Fathoms Chronograph (illustrated with some of his OG BDUs that you grey beards know all about)! I’d certainly expect a high-speed watch like this to be on the wrist of someone like Anthony. His resume includes Airborne, 75th Ranger Regiment, and even Special Mission Units (plural)! Throughout his career, Anthony led units across the full spectrum of operations and deployed extensively to the Middle East and North Africa in support of so many SOF elements over his 24-year career of service that you’d lose count (I did)! Anthony culminated his impressive military career as the Commander of NSA-Georgia! (mic drop). I want to provide y’all a little insight as to how this whole @sendmethedtg horological journey of awesomeness got kicked off. Anthony and I were chatting on the phone one Saturday morning about a shared vision of an interactive platform where high-speed folks could share their story through the lens of their watch. We were like… “surely there’s a bunch of people out there just like us with a uniquely overdeveloped watch affliction in our community, right?” As it turns out, there’s quite a few of us out here!
