You see all that hair? Watch what happens in one pull. 👀

I’m confident in my waxing technique. For this underarm, I applied a double layer so the wax could grip the hair and give her a clean removal without irritating her skin.

Quality work and a gentle touch, every time. You better ask about me! Master your craft.

INGROWN HAIR REMOVAL | PCOS + FACIAL HAIR

Ladies with PCOS know that hormonal changes can sometimes come with unwanted or excessive facial hair. And when you’re constantly shaving, plucking, or picking at those hairs, you can end up dealing with ingrown hairs, irritation, and hyperpigmentation (dark marks).

This beautiful client came in for a half-face chin + neck wax and we also addressed those stubborn ingrown hairs.

Here’s the tea

When a hair curls or grows back into the follicle instead of coming straight out, it can become trapped and create an ingrown hair. And if that hair is still sitting inside the follicle, the bump may continue to stay irritated until that hair is properly removed.

🚨 STOP POKING YOUR SKIN!

If you’re going to tweeze an ingrown, the type of tweezer matters. I prefer a flat/slanted tweezer rather than an extremely sharp tip. The goal is to gently grab the hair not repeatedly poke, dig, or traumatize the surrounding skin.

Every time you pick, poke, or squeeze irritated skin, you can create more inflammation, which can lead to darker marks especially if you’re prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

My aftercare tips:
• Keep the area clean after hair removal
• Witch hazel can be used if appropriate for your skin
• A cool compress can help calm temporary irritation
• An exfoliant can help prevent dead skin from trapping hairs
• Choose between a gentle chemical exfoliant or a gentle manual exfoliant based on your skin and professional guidance
• DON’T pick or dig at your skin
• If facial hair is persistent due to hormonal factors, consider speaking with a dermatologist about longer-term options such as laser hair reduction

And remember: waxing isn’t just about removing hair it’s about HOW we remove it.

My goal with every service is gentle wax, gentle touch, and healthy skin.

If you struggle with PCOS, facial hair, ingrown hairs, or dark marks from shaving/plucking, let’s talk about your options.

I just had to S/O @tinkswaycustoms because when somebody does good business, I’m going to give them their flowers! 👏🏾💐💕

I originally placed an order for some customized birthday favors on Etsy, and when it was time for my order to ship, the lady canceled it because she had an emergency. But shoutout to my person for finding this GEM for me on Facebook Marketplace!

Baby, @tinkswaycustoms came THROUGH and understood the assignment!

She customized my cups, shot glasses, fans AND SHE DID CUT WATERS! And if you know me, you KNOW I love me a Cutty!

She does custom EVERYTHING! And LOCAL is TOP TIER because she even met me to personally deliver my order!

The professionalism was 10/10 too! I straight up asked her if she was legit and verified everything before I sent my monies because baby, we gotta make sure! She didn’t get offended or catch an attitude. She answered my questions, communicated professionally, and had EVERYTHING packaged beautifully.

10/10, I definitely recommend! I just had to S/O a small business doing her THING! Thanks for doing your BIG ONE QUEEN!

And the customized Cutty?! Yeahhhh, she got me with that one!

It’s still Leo Season! 💕♌️ 7/23
