$𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝟐-𝟓 {𝟖/𝟏𝟔, 𝟖/𝟏𝟖, 𝟖/𝟏𝟗, & 𝟖/𝟐𝟏} • 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐀𝐏 Myself along with the @blkeventsla team set out to host a 7 show 5 day long South By-style answer to the LA Jazz Fest’s cancellations. The idea was germinated during a casual conversation between Harun Coffee Team Members on bar, while discussing things happening in the world—a coffee worker’s dream! The idea actualized during long late night conversations after full workdays with the team and myself—somehow never quite feeling like work, just pure inertia and excitement towards being in service of music (Capitol M!). The shows were finally made possible by the business owners of Leimert Park who agreed to open their doors to us, and help bring music into irl spaces. That’s thanks to @harun.coffee , @tbmpac, @theworldstage, @theplantchica, and @ld_university. It was an honor to work alongside these crucial venues doing the most important work🎶 • 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐒 who amidst some funky situations & in a nick of time: showed up, did their thing, and brought their beautiful gifts to & through the historical venues of LP, thank you for what you do. That’s thanks to @quranshaheed @humanerrorclubla @whereisnoamz @fairygodmamii @gmonetmusic @samwyse_ @quinjaye @billychildspiano @chimyonthebass @jordanproffer @blackflutebrigade @mo0d.4u • 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐔𝐃𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐒 who showed up to support the artists and the historical venues we love so dearly, we were so happy to see you & can’t wait untill next time 🤎 • 🎞️ by the @blkeventsla team$
