‘26s had an elite saturday morning at the facility:

⚾️ Quincy Bright had his first bullpen back from TJ, and his directional work paid off with over 70% strike

⚾️ Jacob Horwitz, also rehabbing, saw consistent FB/CH shapes and hit his velo goal for the day

⚾️ Tristan Fanning continues to impress with 20” Vert FB’s, -17” Depth CB’s, and a firm gyro SL to bridge the two

Here we have @andrewcvail sitting mid-upper 90s in his latest velocity pen. Recently, Vail has been up to low-mid 90s. Here’s some context behind how he gained an extra few mph

The last few weeks Vail has begun velocity days on the slope and we could not be more excited. We noticed his shuffle throws he was good at rotating and using the ground, but he was having pushy hips out of the loading phase on the bump. This past week, we gave him a figure 8 double drill with/ constrained lower half. This promoted rotation into the ground instead of shifting above it

In his last pen, Vail sat 95-97. In order to catch that 98, we gave him the cue of “driving through his big toe”. Just bc we land lead leg doesn’t mean we kill the last bit of rotation as we send energy up the chain. Small details, big difference’s! Dont push, peal, dont let up, drive that gas pedal even more

An efficient, rotational delivery not only allows the athlete to trust direction down the pipe, but it also allows the arm to get up on time providing more competitive pitches in zone at higher velocities

If you are dealing w a pushy lower half, feel free to give this drill a try and sign up for your initial eval to begin your Ascent today. Transcend the ordinary, Embrace the journey

Here’s @ryan_gollon remarkable journey from 55 mph w pain to a 91 mph outfield throw. Heres some context how the body can safely adapt and function through individualized protocols during return to throw

- Ryan came in struggling with his Return to Throw 7 months post operation from labrum surgery and was at the lowest point in his career, questioning whether he’d be able to throw again full effort because of reoccurring pain

- In his initial eval Ryan got up to 55 mph but had to end prematurely due to pain again. We went through a mechanical analysis and full movement screen. We laid out a threshold oriented approach, correctives, mobility and an adjusted lifting program to best suit his needs

- The first step of the throwing program was addressing the root causes of pain. We came to a conclusion it was mainly due to poor mvmt qualities and the body sending the brain warning signals due to a poor physiological connection stemming from the surgery

- By giving Ryan an appropriate drill progression, as well as reactivity techniques, distracted resistance, isometrics, and impulse training (shout out @dac_throwing for the help and support) we were able to connect the body and mind resulting in pain subsiding due to patterning and tissue adaptations

- His lifting consisted of opening up the body in full ROM, aided by a ton of unilateral work, breath work, and rotational capacity training while still building overall physicality

- 9 weeks later and after a small deload, Ryan has officially thrown a baseball 90+ mph with his newly enhanced makeup. LFG!!!!

- Shoutout to my fellow coaches on staff @chris_dono_ and @thewrightway3 , as well as @precisionperformance.pt and @faaziogianna This was an ultimate team effort. And last but certainly not least, shoutout Ryan. To be in a disheartening, low place just a few wks back to where you are now, the work you have been putting in has shown every step of the way. Very, very impressed! Lets keep it up and find you a home for next year!
