On my first day of work with Gamecock Baseball, Tyson was showing me around when Fisch called me over, introduced himself, and told me “You look like a smalls, I’m gonna call you smalls.” In that moment, I had absolutely no idea both how much that man and that nickname would change my life. I learned so much from him during my time with the program, baseball, equipment, laundry, but mostly importantly life lessons that I will always have with me. Fisch, you were so loved, and I can’t wait for one more spikeball game, road trip conversation, who can pull the tape measure out farther without it bending game, tailgate, fungo golf round, and call on me fist pump in heaven. Couldn’t dream of a better weekend to go out on! Thank you Gamecock Baseball for 4+ years of the time of my life, and for the family that I’ll have for the rest of my lifetime. All good things do come to an end, but I’m thrilled to get started with the Cubs very soon! #smallsout taken in Founders Park by @thewrightway3
