POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

When I started imagining Shoes of Migration, I thought of bringing artists of different cultures together to share something beyond our passion for dance.

Today that dream has faces, stories, movement, and wonderful people who are sharing of themselves in this creation.

Each one came with their roots, experiences, and their way of seeing the world. What is most beautiful is to have discovered what we can learn and create when we give ourselves the opportunity to encounter one another.

I feel grateful to be in this journey with @jeevika.bhat @galenpassen @thiagotrad and @leonellinares ❤️

I can't wait for you to see what we have created!

See you on November 23rd ✨

Today I had the joy of joining Laurie Lomask, Associate Professor of Spanish and Portuguese at Borough of Manhattan Community College, and her amazing students for little immersion in the Brazilian culture trhoug its music and dance!

We danced Coco de Roda and sang a traditional cantiga in Portuguese. And @thiagotrad brought the language of the caxixis making it even more special!!

I would like to thank @lauriejane.lj for the invitation, warm reception and shared experience!! As well @sacinyc for always building bridges and creating connections!!
