Brian Bacon leads a psychpop band from Cincinnati, OH called Thin Palace (@thinpalaceband) For the past 2 years he has been performing his dramatic, melodic rock on regional stages, filling out a traditional rock band configuration with lavish, live-performance synth arrangements the likes of which very few acts attempt on stage these days. Thrumming with the energy of liminal spaces and certain to induce a vivid nostalgia for a place you’ve never known, Brian’s music will stick with you long after the final chords have died away.
Go give @brianbaconmusic AND @thinpalaceband a listen 🎶 Check the comments for links 🔗
Then come catch them live this Saturday at 11am!

We’re honored to have Brian Bacon and his band making the trip down from Cincinnati, Ohio to play @wienerfestofficial this year! We love getting to bring bands from outside the area into the Wienerfest mix, and we’re really looking forward to having these guys with us. We’ll see you in the crowd! 🙌🏼🫡

Great week in music! Photos by Jared Presley. I stopped by @cousinjeffreyshonkytonk for the open mic. It was the first time for me to play there. Really interesting venue. I can't confirm quite yet but there may be a band show with my band here at some point next year.

Great show at @northsidetav and @hybrid_moments_milford and just a couple doors down saw my friends @laformulamusicproductions performing.

Thanks everyone for the support!

Sidenote -- my last post got labeled AI by Meta's new weaselly way to confound the public. I expect this one will too. For those of you who haven't heard, it would be great news for Meta and other vast tech giants if the argument over generative AI was quelled. So now they have this handy tool that susses out whether or not your image was created in Photoshop or Canva who both have generative AI models that I do not use. I do however use the Canva background remover. In this poster, I used it to make the catfish's whisker overlap with the titles. I have included the original public domain image on panel 3. Meta invites you to become confused between background remover and generative models. I invite you to keep beating the sht out of tech messaging on their own platforms.

We are excited to open for the incredibly talented @thinpalaceband (formerly known as @brianbaconmusic) as he releases his next full-length album. @drobiwan_coroni will be playing some original tunes, as well. Come over to @northsidetav Thursday, August 27th to see it all!

It's not all bad news!

People’s intentions have never been more obvious than they are right now. Those of us retaliating against the homogenizers are easy to spot. Resonance is quicker where connections are closer.

Dayton and Cleveland, your cities are crawling with creatives and my psychpop band @thinpalaceband is proud to be among them!

There isn't a reason to wait for a “feed” to send you the next thing LiveNation expects you to buy. Come close and have an encounter on your own. Rooms where it happens are full of people who are choosing (and making) the alternative on purpose.

The house is ready.

It isn't random.

And isn’t the money.

People in the local arts communities have a shared mission and you can feel it in the venues that flaunt them. My psychpop band, @thinpalaceband is grateful to make a contribution in Columbus, Lexington and Cincinnati every chance we get.

Come to our shows and get mixed up with the other weirdos who make cool sh*t happen. Bring more along with you. We can't get enough of them.
