23 years in the beauty industry, and one of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that nature still has so much to teach us.

For years, I thought I understood skincare. The ingredients, the treatments, the science behind it all.

And then I discovered waterless skincare and the incredible potential of the olive tree.

It completely changed the way I approached my own skin. And honestly, it reignited a passion for this industry that I didn’t even realize I was missing.

There’s something so beautiful about realizing that some of the most fascinating ingredients aren’t new discoveries at all. They’ve been growing in nature for centuries.

The more I learn about the olive tree, its powerful polyphenols, and the science behind plant-based skincare, the more in awe I am of God’s creation.

I truly believe we’re only beginning to understand how much nature has to teach us.

And at 43, after more than two decades in this industry, I feel like I’m just getting started.

I don’t normally speak out about things like this on social media, but when people start twisting science, dismissing research, and spreading misinformation to fit their own narrative, you’ve officially lit a fire in me. 🔥

If you know me, you know this goes WAY beyond skincare. I apply these same principles to my own life and to how I approach health, wellness, and training my clients. I believe in working WITH our bodies, keeping things as natural as possible, and understanding the science behind WHY we do what we do.

That’s why I stand behind what we’re building with Olive Tree People. The vision Thomas has, the foundation this company was built on, and the science behind it deserve more than baseless accusations and negativity.

And watching people try to discredit something while attempting to imitate it? I’ll just leave that right there.

I could get REALLY nerdy with the science, but social media probably isn’t ready for all that. 😂🔬

A few pictures from a weekend I’m still finding the words for.

I came home grateful, sick, emotional, and exhausted. And then life needed more of me.

There’s a lot happening in my world that won’t make it onto this app quite yet. I’m making room for family, for grief, preparing to support a new life coming into the world, keeping commitments, running a business, and trying to remember that I’m a person who needs care, too.

So yes, these are pictures of me dressed up and smiling. Those smiles were real. So is the tired woman writing this.

I know there’s a lot of noise in this industry right now. I have people I love, a business I believe in, and my own mind. I can care about someone whose path looks different from mine. I can ask questions and still see so much worth building. I don’t need an enemy to feel certain about where I stand.

What I’m holding onto from this weekend is personal. The women I got to hug. The conversations we needed. The laughter. Looking around and seeing people who have become such a big part of my life because I took a chance on something.

That means a lot to me. Even in a complicated season.

I still have ambition. I still love what I do. I am beyond excited for all that’s ahead here. I’m also tired, and I’m learning to let that be a full sentence without following it with everything I’m going to accomplish anyway.

For now, I’m grateful I got to be in these moments, with these people. And I’m giving myself a little room to feel everything that came home with me and all that was waiting for me here too. 🤍

Day TWO of the Oliveda Festival and what a fun day it was!

Started the morning with a beautiful sunrise from my hotel room, followed by brunch at Casa del Mar with the most gorgeous view of Santa Monica Beach!

Then we headed to Venice to visit the Olive Tree People store on Abbot Kinney, and WOW, what a beautiful space!

One of the coolest details? Thomas, our founder, actually brought soil from Spain to combine with soil from LA to create the walls of the store!

Every detail was so thoughtfully done, from all our beautiful products lining the shelves to the frequency room, where we could actually listen to frequencies coming from the olive trees in Spain!

We also got to spend time with some pretty special people!

Thomas, our founder, Luis Casco from Project Runway, who is also our makeup artist, and sweet Stephanie, our aesthetician who has taught us so much about our products!

After that, it was time to explore Venice! One of my favorite parts of the day was running into so many wonderful women, getting to meet them in person, taking photos and just enjoying being together!

We wrapped up the evening with a group dinner at Loulou, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to end the day!

As much as I love the products and everything Oliveda stands for, it’s experiences like these and the people I get to share them with that make being part of this company so special!

And we still have the BIG festival day to come!

I’m still on such a high from this past weekend. ✨

It was truly magical being at the Olive Tree People Festival where ranks didn’t matter, whose team you were on didn’t matter… what mattered was that we all came together because we believe in Olive Tree People, what it stands for, and the beautiful community it continues to create.

Each of these women means so much to me. So grateful for the laughter, the conversations, the connections, and the reminder that there is room for all of us to rise together. 🫒🤍

If you let it, this industry will change you. And not for the better.

It will convince you that competition requires undermining others, ambition justifies dishonesty, and your next opportunity gives you permission to exploit the trust and relationships that helped build your last. It will put you in rooms where manipulation becomes strategy, principles become optional, and the very behavior you once stood against is suddenly disguised as building something better. Where yesterday’s convictions become today’s criticisms, and the very people, products, and opportunities once passionately championed are suddenly publicly discredited.

There are lines I won’t cross, conversations I won’t entertain, and behaviors I won’t excuse in the name of ambition. Building something new should never require burning down what you left behind.

Be intentional about the person you’re becoming in the pursuit of success. The titles, ranks, and paychecks are temporary.

First rule: Never let ’em change you.

Who would’ve thought a tiny bottle of face wash would lead me here?! 🌿🤯

I went into this festival excited about the products and left even more excited about the PEOPLE and the future of this company.

One thing about me, I don’t do anything halfway. If I believe in something, I’m all in. And the more I learn about Olive Tree People, the more I realize how much this aligns with who I am and what I’m passionate about. Health, wellness, science, and helping people!

The thought and intention behind EVERYTHING blew me away. But being surrounded by women who genuinely want to see each other succeed? That’s what really stuck with me.

I’m not just here to sell skincare. I’m here to grow, build something meaningful, and bring others along with me.

What if we’ve become so disconnected from nature that we’ve forgotten how connected we were meant to be?

I’ve always been more of a Mother Nature girl, but I’m fascinated by the why behind it all. The intelligence in nature, the way everything works together, and what we might be missing when we look outside ourselves for the next big thing.
