What happens when the faith you inherited no longer aligns with the reality you experience?

In season 4 ep 4 of Safe Space with Jaxon, Jaxon sits down with @timwhitakerspeaks , founder of The New Evangelicals, co-host of The Tim & April Show, and creator of Tim Whitaker Speaks.

Together, they explore the tension between faith and certainty, the personal cost of asking difficult questions, and what it means to remain committed to the teachings of Jesus while wrestling with the institutions that claim to represent him.

From deconstruction and Christian nationalism to belonging, community, and hope for the future of faith, this conversation goes beyond labels and into the deeper questions many people are quietly carrying.

Whether you’re reconstructing your faith, questioning long-held beliefs, or simply searching for a more honest spiritual path, this episode offers a thoughtful and compassionate space for the journey. #exvangelical #nokings #deconstruction

Donut Date at @thegoodsdoughnuts in Carlsbad 📍

Because everything gets to be a date when you’re with your favorite person. 😏

We’ve been so locked into clean eating that I honestly can’t remember the last time we had donuts. 🍩

But a Sunday morning donut date after @this.is.current with my person? Yes please! Worth every single bite.

We love prioritizing dates and checking out new food spots all while putting on our food critic hats for fun.

Let this be your reminder to live a little. To indulge. To play. To have fun. And maybe let yourself have a donut every now and then.

Wellness isn’t just what’s on your plate - it’s also about the moments you let yourself be present enough to actually enjoy your life and your love.

Save this for the next time you’re in Carlsbad, San Diego 📍

Such a splendid Sunday with our kids @this.is.current 🍀

I love how the older kids have been guiding the younger ones to lead games of their choosing. 💛

There’s always more than I could ever expect unfolding and lots of opportunities for magic. ✨

After class I drew the “Space Bubble” card and took myself to one of my favorite parks to just chill… And there was a beautiful dandelion waiting to be wished on.
