15 years ago, back in NYC, my friend Elliott wrote and directed me in a short film called “The Date From Hell!” Today was pretty hot, but definitely a (strike) date from a better place! Not to mention, Elliott was one of the first people I showed my script of @wrathmercy to, and he was one of our donors. I gratefully stand in solidarity with my friend and the WGA! #wgastrong #prewga #paywriters

Happy Mothers Day, Mom. Thanks for showing me the value of creativity and for being a model of resilience and perseverance. I learned through you that there is no problem without a solution, even if it doesn’t always seem that way at first. Thanks for also putting up with me when I’m a pain — something that I imagine has happened plenty over the last 38 years. I love you.

More than half a lifetime ago we met in New York. Just kids on paths that would cross over and over the years until we realized we were walking the same road. Lucky me.

I love you and the life that we’ve built together. Our highs and lows and adventures and setbacks. I love our wonderful goofball son, in whose energy and spirit I see you reflected again and again. I love that there is so much story left, that we’re living it together.

With you I’m always where I need to be.

Happy anniversary, Swat.

You are everything.

Always be silly, but vote seriously.

I treasure my right to vote in any situation—whether it be a local election, primary or presidential. It is an honor, a privilege, and a responsibility to have a voice. And not just to vote, but to study the issues at hand then decide on our own what is best for our country, our state and our city’s future.

I hope you do too. And I hope that you choose to lead with love instead of fear. I hope not that you just think of your wealth, inheritance and nuclear family, but the well being of humanity as a whole.

The universe is a big place, and our similarities are more than our differences.
