🐆Meet the Bronx Zoo’s newest snow leopard cub

❄️ Born May 31 to parents Dari and Moutig, this little girl is now exploring the Himalayan Highlands habitat. She passed her physical exams and vaccinations and is doing well. Her birth brings the zoo’s snow leopard count to eight.

Snow leopards are one of the world’s most elusive big cats, and an estimated 5,000 to 7,000 remain in the wild across Asia. The Bronx Zoo has had more than 80 snow leopard births and takes part in a cooperative breeding program to help the species thrive.
