PSA: There's no one 'right way' to do life during the weird years.

Having kids, getting into relationships, careers, gender... whatever it is, your path is your own.

Spent the week with Lau fam (minus @laupanman 🥺） down in Camargue country to celebrate mega @thisislouisalau and her 40th
Welcome to chilling into our forties like it’s no big deal because it really is just a number… and also, nothing much has intrinsically changed 🤣
Also props to Lou for speaking so frankly about confronting biological clock (last slide) and her experience of meeting partner @working.hypothesis and having delicious Cato within a year. Ditto on that front obviously with Casper… @therealjaimiehodgsonofficial ❤️❤️❤️
Life is loopy. Grateful to have learnt to roll with it all.

Wanting to know all the facts 🤝🏻 Not wanting to live in constant panic about declining fertility.

It’s so tricky, and it’s a reality women have to face as they move through their 30s.

Question: When you know you want children, when’s the right time to bring it up with a potential partner?

Another amazing chat around dating over 30, fertility, and the pressures that come with it this week on the pod. Huge, huge thanks to @thisislouisalau for sharing her experiences.

What happens when you know you want a baby, you’re 36, single, and it’s lockdown?

Creative Director and fellow East Londoner Louisa Lau joins me this week to talk when you starting a family felt like a far off thought, dating with intention and how she went from first date to pregnant in under a year.

It’s honest, hopeful, and exactly the kind of chat we should be having.

If you’ve ever wondered whether it’s OK to bring up babies on a date, or felt like time is running out-it’s not. And this one’s for you.

Old Miu, mum and Lou
Haven’t been just the three of us for a VERY long time…
Not since the days of growing up as Chinese takeaway kids in Camden where my parents would tirelessly fry, drain and wrap downstairs whilst lil Lou and I would absorb those oil-slicked aromas wafting upstairs, alongside Blue Peter and Whitney Houston on the smallest of TVs. Bunk bed jostling next to double bed in one room where we’d nurse foil box cuts on fingers, memorise brush strokes 筆畫 and wishlist the toy section of the Argos catalogue…
Another lifetime ago…

Was very much doubting we’d be able to have any semblance of Christmas two weeks ago, but somehow it sorta, kinda came together
Here comes the quiet … hope everyone had a good one ! 🤍
