After seeing Pixey, Pixie Bite and Pixie Lott I thought I should really see Pixie McCann. She played at the Hoxton Hall which was sold out and arriving well before doors was greeted with a massive queue, she is very popular. I had not listened to any of her work prior to going but what I heard was superb. Bedroom pop best describes her sound with a touch of electronics on her voice, there was a hint of Laurie Anderson to a couple of her songs. Pixie was exuding happiness and engulfed us all with a wall of exuberant pop perfection, both she and her band were on top form. Support, who I last saw at The Finsbury back in 2023, was Paul's Daughter though sans band. She had a lovely set and I really need to see her more often @pixie.mccann @thisispaulsdaughter
