Homecoming 2026 🤟

I can truly say that this homecoming was the best one yet. I am so thankful for the opportunity to not only represent my university, but to also represent everyone that has impacted me on my journey.

I really mean it whenever I say that the people at this university make it a home. To the faculty and staff that have taken the time to get to know me and continue to provide me countless opportunities I thank you. To the people that I have met throughout my college journey, I would not be the same person I am today without you all.

To the organization that nominated me, Cultural Connections, I can confidently say that applying was the best possible decision that I could have made my sophomore year. Serving as a member has taught me so much about life and has expanded my horizons so much.

I do want to say thank you especially to my advisor, Candice Dazet, for trusting in me to serve as the Chair for Cultural Connections this year. I know how important our organization is to you and it is truly an honor to serve as Chair. You have been the person on this campus that has known me for the longest and thank you very much for everything that you do. Kaiden, you were my original Chair for Cultural Connections and I strive to live up to the example that you set everyday. It was an honor to serve along side of you on this court.

This homecoming week was one of the busiest, but most rewarding weeks that I have ever had. I will always serve a representation of everyone that has poured into me, and I hope that I was able to make everyone proud. Most importantly, this week I was able to make myself proud. Thank you for this opportunity, Go UL 🤟, and @tacobell I’m serious please sponsor me I have legitimately spent more than $1200 throughout my college experience at Taco Bell.

Words cannot even describe what an unbelievable blessing it was to serve on the 2026 University of Louisiana at Lafayette Homecoming Court ❤️🤟

When I first came to this University as a freshman, I never saw myself as someone who would be a student leader at their university, but UL cultivated such an inspiring and loving environment for me that I am so thankful for the woman I have become.

To UL Panhellenic, thank you for your nomination. You women are my why. Being part of the executive board with you guys has been my favorite college experience and I love you guys !! 💝

To my Phi Mus, I would never have gotten here if it wasn’t for you ladies pushing me to do more. In every moment, you guys have been my back bone, safe space, and comfort. I love each and every single one of you! 🌸💝

To the rest of the court, I am so blessed to have served with people who are so passionate about not only the university, but the people in it. I had so much fun with you guys, and I can’t even imagine this week going any other way!!

To Onyeka and Brenden, You two were the first ones to see me as a greater leader than I ever saw myself my sophomore year when you asked me to run with you guys. I don’t think I would ever be where I am if it wasn’t for that library meeting we had where I saw my true potential. Thank you guys ❤️❤️

And to my family, thank you so much for coming to Lafayette and being there every moment. I would never be who I am today without the help of you guys!! ❤️❤️❤️

Hoco Court!! ❤️ ❤️

I don’t think I’ve ever been able to spend a week of hair in my face, dripping sweat, and longgggg days so happily with any other group. This court is full of the most hard working, impressive, and compassionate young leaders I have ever met. Each of them has taught me something in the years I’ve known them.

Thomas, you were my camper 2 years ago and I’ve seen you grow in your confidence and love. You remind me to never doubt myself and keep pushing forward.

Aliysha, you might be the most compassionate woman I’ve ever met in my entire life. You remind me to think of others and love them no matter what.

Cye, you are genuinely one of the funniest people I’ve ever met and you are so unapologetically yourself. You remind me to laugh and strut my stuff even if I’m down.

Trinity, your kindness shines brighter than your smile (which is hard to do). You remind me to speak up when someone else is down and bring them back up.

Tafari, you are one of the most hard working people EVER. You remind me to keep pushing when it feels like the world is against me.

Onyeka, you are such a fighter. The whole world could be against you, but you still strive for greatness. You remind me that no goal is too big or too unrealistic.

Kaiden, you are such a loyal friend. Loyalty is something I hold near to my heart. You remind me to protect my people and be there no matter what my friends may face.

Gibby, your laughter lights up a room, but your power is in your heart. You remind me to protect those close to me as well as those that may be further away. To you, every stranger is a friend.

Grayson, I got to stand next to you as homecoming king and queen. But before that, you were my treasurer. And before that, you were my friend. You remind me that true friendship has no parameters. You’ve seen me at my lowest and my highest and no matter what, you’ve stood by me. I don’t know if I say it enough, but thank you for everything Gray.

Never coming back from this one

I couldn’t ask for a better homecoming. UL Lafayette is exactly what high school me thought it would be, a family. This university meets you where you’re at and allows you to become exactly who you want to be. Students here are blessed with a community that pushes them, holds them accountable, and picks them up when they fall. For all this, I will forever be grateful.

I can’t thank the students, faculty, and alumni enough for shaping me into the man I am today and I am honored to represent as this year’s Homecoming King!

Thank you to the Lord for blessing me with a position on the 2026 Homecoming Court! This experience will be one I cherish forever, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to represent a university that has helped me grow in so many ways. Thank you to UL Lafayette for the opportunities, memories, and community that have made these years so meaningful.

To the students, thank you for your support and for allowing me to represent you! Being part of this Ragin’ Cajun family has meant so much to me, and sharing this moment with you makes it even more special. All glory to God, and forever Geaux Cajuns!

It’s been a long week of Homecoming Festivities! But I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world 🤩

I’m truly honored to be given this opportunity to serve on the 2026 Homecoming Court along with nine incredibly talented students. I’ve known each of them for a while but it’s truly been a blessing to get to go through this experience with each of you! The memories we’ve made together are ones that I’ll always look back on when I leave this university.

Thank you to @ulstudentorientation for trusting me to represent you in this position. You’re one of the many reasons I have the skills and knowledge I hold today!

Thank you to all my family and friends that have supported me throughout the years. Without you, I wouldn’t have become who I am. You’re each a part of me that hold dear

And finally, thank you to @ullafayette for giving me the opportunity to grow as a leader.

Congrats to the new King and Queen, @grayson.kerv and @emily.lamkin195 🤩 Couldn’t think of anyone more deserving!

The honor of a lifetime!! ❤️ ❤️

UL has been more than a university since I stepped onto this campus. We have unique and special traditions, we have pride like no other, but most importantly, we have some of the most incredible people I’ve ever met on this campus.

I truly do believe when you need it, this university provides you with a village. My journey hasn’t always been easy here. There have been obstacles and many pit stops along the way, but no matter what, my village has always been stronger.

To the UL students, faculty, staff, sponsors, and so many more…. Thank you for my village and thank you for the honor of a life time.
