Six to something more

There is a sense of generosity and invitation with an extendable dining table.

Add function and flexibility in being able to accommodate six, eight, or twelve guests without changing the overall flow and structure of a room.

Conversations, unplanned gathering, incidental life, celebrations, and everything in between all eventually find their place here.

With a classic silhouette and generous proportions, creating calm and relaxed comfort, the Sandringham Double Extension Dining Table and Carlyle Dining Chairs with Slipcover and Leather Tie are an effortless match. Available exclusively @thomasandhurley

One strong line

Good bedside furniture supports the everyday without asking for attention.

Here, the X-shaped base creates movement and keeps the silhouette visually open, a practical way to introduce structure without heaviness.

A single dark drawer pull adds just enough contrast against the white finish.

The piece needs very little around it.

A lamp, books and flowers are enough to let the form remain visible.

At Thomas & Hurley, smaller pieces are designed with the same attention to proportion and architectural detail as larger furniture

The full wall effect

At almost four metres wide, the Stonefield creates an architectural focal point without overwhelming the room, and provides the presence of bespoke cabinetry across an entire wall.

Glass-door display cabinetry at either side brings lightness and symmetry, while the central media section provides a natural home for the television, artwork or a quieter decorative arrangement. When not in use as a media room, artwork, books and decorative objects can help the central space read more like a library or display wall than a conventional entertainment unit. Below, the panelled cabinetry introduces generous concealed storage, allowing the room to remain calm even when everyday life is anything but.

At Thomas & Hurley, that balance matters, and we believe that furniture should support the realities of everyday life while still contributing to the atmosphere of the room, and that one well-proportioned wall unit can replace several smaller pieces and create a more resolved interior.

Even large-scale furniture can still feel light when glass, symmetry and balanced proportions are used thoughtfully.

Perfect surfaces have their place

So do pieces that look like they have a story to tell.

Light catches differently across a curve. Edges become more pronounced. Small irregularities introduce depth that a perfectly even surface could never replicate.

A finish that is not just black, with espresso, charcoal and warmer timber tones revealing themselves across the surface, worn edges and tonal variation all part of the appeal.

Designed to provide both storage and presence, the Mondrich can anchor a living room beneath artwork or a mirror, create a sophisticated focal point in an entrance or hallway, or introduce contrast within a lighter bedroom or dining space.

White or black?

The repeated spindle detail gives the Montclair its rhythm.

In white, it feels light and architectural. Its detailing is revealed gently through shadow rather than strong contrast.

In black, the turned legs and open shelves become more pronounced. Every spindle becomes more visible.

Open shelves for display and a single streamlined shelf for storage, simplicity and calm, one silhouette can belong to two completely different rooms.

Open. Extend. Gather.

There is an unspoken invitation in an extendable dining table, always room for the gathering to become larger.

A hospitality built into the design itself.

Natural oak changing throughout the day, warm in morning light, richer by afternoon, deeper again as evening settles in, invites across any time of day or season of life, changing in configuration from a generous 8 seat to an expansive 12 seat dining table.

The art of extension

Ready to host the everyday just as beautifully as the occasion, warm oak, soft upholstery and natural light create a setting that feels elevated, not formal.

Soft grey-blue behaves almost like a neutral, especially beside oak, linen and natural textures.

From the nailhead edging on the beautifully upholstered dining chair to the parquetry detail of the table, these pieces show how thoughtful finishing elevates a room.

Imperfect, in all the right ways

Because sometimes, perfection is not the point.

Look closely, and the colour is never simply blue, or grey. Chalk, stone, silvered timber and warmer undertones move across the chest, allowing light to reveal something slightly different from every angle.

Three generous drawers bring practicality to the curved form, but it is the character of the finish that gives this piece its presence.

Traditional in reference, relaxed in execution and deliberately imperfect in all the right ways.

Change is a constant

There is function in being able to accommodate it beautifully.

A table that changes size changes the way a home can be used. It allows intimacy when fewer people gather, then creates space when the circle widens. Function becomes part of the lifestyle rather than something hidden behind the design.

Softened by the rhythm and repetition of curved dining chairs, there is something generous about an extendable table, an assumption there may always be one more person worth making room for.

Form, reimagined

One design, two very different moods.

The black finish sharpens every line.

Strong, graphic and beautifully grounded against softer bedroom tones.

The distinctive drawer fronts turn a practical piece into something architectural.

Open and concealed, books and favourite objects above.

Everyday necessities tucked quietly into drawers below.

In white, the design feels calm, luminous and quietly integrated into the space.

Symmetry. Repetition. Rhythm.

Or maybe it's just the sense that everything in the room has suddenly found its place.

There is an art to creating structure and presence from a starting point of simple storage requirement

Strong lines create rhythm, and curved detailing has energy and movement.

The statement is the base

Strong line, refined proportion, an immediate focal point.

The angular base introduces movement and tension beneath the calm horizontal plane of the tabletop.

Function becomes part of the design, the extension mechanism allowing the table to accommodate more without compromising the refined silhouette.

Proportion, contrast, and line create presence.
