A closer look at a Thomas & Hurley favourite.

The Louis Buffet in White balances classic French curves with a cleaner, more contemporary sensibility. Subtle distressing, grooved Art Deco inspired detailing and antique bronze toned hardware give the piece depth and character, while its generous proportions make it a natural anchor for a dining or living space.

The wider Louis Collection offers the same distinctive look across 130cm, 160cm, 200cm, 250cm and 300cm sizes, with options in both white and black, making it easy to find the right scale for your space.

The full wall effect

At almost four metres wide, the Stonefield creates an architectural focal point without overwhelming the room, and provides the presence of bespoke cabinetry across an entire wall.

Glass-door display cabinetry at either side brings lightness and symmetry, while the central media section provides a natural home for the television, artwork or a quieter decorative arrangement. When not in use as a media room, artwork, books and decorative objects can help the central space read more like a library or display wall than a conventional entertainment unit. Below, the panelled cabinetry introduces generous concealed storage, allowing the room to remain calm even when everyday life is anything but.

At Thomas & Hurley, that balance matters, and we believe that furniture should support the realities of everyday life while still contributing to the atmosphere of the room, and that one well-proportioned wall unit can replace several smaller pieces and create a more resolved interior.

Even large-scale furniture can still feel light when glass, symmetry and balanced proportions are used thoughtfully.

The beauty of smaller things

Part shell, part fan, part architectural flourish.

There is something organic about the silhouette.

The smaller details reward attention.

Stitching. Texture. Edge detail. Subtle tonal variation.

@thomasandhurley we're here for the calm and simplicity of organic forms, and finding the luxury in the small details that matter

Perfect surfaces have their place

So do pieces that look like they have a story to tell.

Light catches differently across a curve. Edges become more pronounced. Small irregularities introduce depth that a perfectly even surface could never replicate.

A finish that is not just black, with espresso, charcoal and warmer timber tones revealing themselves across the surface, worn edges and tonal variation all part of the appeal.

The Mondrich Commode with Drawers, available exclusively @thomasandhurley

Designed to provide both storage and presence, the Mondrich can anchor a living room beneath artwork or a mirror, create a sophisticated focal point in an entrance or hallway, or introduce contrast within a lighter bedroom or dining space.

A reason not to play safe

Sophisticated and humorous. Tailored and relaxed. Familiar and just a little strange.

The confidence to choose the thing you cannot stop looking at.

The most memorable spaces, pairings, events, and connections usually contain something that should not quite work.

A pattern a little bolder than expected. A piece slightly out of scale. An object that makes you look twice.

A sentence out of context.

We love the collected, the humorous, and the unexpected pairings that just work @thomasandhurley

White or black?

The repeated spindle detail gives the Montclair its rhythm.

In white, it feels light and architectural. Its detailing is revealed gently through shadow rather than strong contrast.

In black, the turned legs and open shelves become more pronounced. Every spindle becomes more visible.

Open shelves for display and a single streamlined shelf for storage, simplicity and calm, one silhouette can belong to two completely different rooms.

Game, set, collect

Different sizes, frames and subjects create the impression of a collection formed slowly.

Although nothing is an exact match, a gallery wall works here because it does not feel perfectly planned.

Tennis and equestrian references share a visual language of tradition, craftsmanship, ritual.

Against leather and dark green, layered tartan feels warm, familiar and quietly sporting.

Old rackets.
Trophies.
Books.
Photographs.

A place where character, memory, and decoration meet, and leather, timber, brass and textiles create enough warmth to turn darkness into intimacy.

Open. Extend. Gather.

There is an unspoken invitation in an extendable dining table, always room for the gathering to become larger.

A hospitality built into the design itself.

Natural oak changing throughout the day, warm in morning light, richer by afternoon, deeper again as evening settles in, invites across any time of day or season of life, changing in configuration from a generous 8 seat to an expansive 12 seat dining table.

Some rooms feel as though they’ve been collected over generations.

Designed by @guygoodfellow, this English country bedroom brings together richly patterned wallpaper, antique portraits and a beautifully figured timber bed. The interplay of colour, texture and traditional craftsmanship creates a space that feels full of character, yet entirely at ease.

At @thomasandhurley, we love interiors that embrace history, individuality and the enduring appeal of beautifully crafted, heritage furniture.

A reminder that great design is rarely about following trends.

The art of extension

Ready to host the everyday just as beautifully as the occasion, warm oak, soft upholstery and natural light create a setting that feels elevated, not formal.

Soft grey-blue behaves almost like a neutral, especially beside oak, linen and natural textures.

From the nailhead edging on the beautifully upholstered dining chair to the parquetry detail of the table, these pieces show how thoughtful finishing elevates a room.

Golden hour, all day

A case for more. Golden velvet becomes the emotional centre of the room.

Surrounded by aged timber, paintings gathered in different sizes and styles, sprays of flowers overflowing their vessels, and books left temptingly within reach, there's a type of affectionate abundance here.

Art bought because it meant something. Books kept because they may be opened again. Flowers brought in from the garden. Furniture chosen as much for the pleasure of living with it as for the composition of the room.

Imperfect, in all the right ways

Because sometimes, perfection is not the point.

Look closely, and the colour is never simply blue, or grey. Chalk, stone, silvered timber and warmer undertones move across the chest, allowing light to reveal something slightly different from every angle.

Three generous drawers bring practicality to the curved form, but it is the character of the finish that gives this piece its presence.

Traditional in reference, relaxed in execution and deliberately imperfect in all the right ways.
