The EP of @senseandsensibilitymusical is out today!

Link in my bio to listen to @beccaridout’s Up to Me, @thatdanielhall’s If You Will Have Me and me on Willoughby!

@thomasfarnold and @grace_o_keefe are stratospheric talents and working on this show has been nothing but a joy. It’s a huge privilege to be trusted to represent a show for the first time and I have been so lucky to have Marianne to myself for so long!

There was a point, years ago now, we needed an Elinor, and I said, ‘Do you want one of my real-life best friends?’ Cue @beccaridout’s perfect Elinor, and two years of her telling me off about my love life on stage AND off. 😉

Swipe through for the journey! 🎀

THE EP OF SENSE & SENSIBILITY IS OUT NOW 🎀 I have loved being a part of the development of this beautiful musical and I’m thrilled more people will get to hear (some of) it through this EP. I used to get out CDs from a library to trawl through new musicals but now it’s streaming, free, on Spotify (LINK IN BIO, DUH).

I am particularly proud of @thatdanielhall’s stunning ‘If You Will Have Me’- I’ve cried so many times listening to him sing that song - and @lottieclitherow’s perfect ‘Willoughby’ - you’ll swoon at the lyrics and her Marianne equally.

Then of course there’s the combined genius of @thomasfarnold & @grace_o_keefe who have created such a wonderful show. I don’t have the right superlatives.

You’ll just have to listen to the EP and watch this space on @senseandsensibilitymusical for the future of this show whilst I fondly recall when I got to play Elinor Dashwood 🤍

What a blessing it has been to reunite with this wonderful cast and crew on The Musical Medea 🏺

Preparing for a proshot has been a brilliant way to revisit this script and score, and we are also putting on another week of performances while we’re filming!

If you missed it last summer, make sure you don’t miss it this time 🧡

(Also can we all compliment @jessimica_x on these stunning character introductions with @inigo_woodhamsmith‘s shots)

See you in Corinth some time soon xx

Some songs don’t need spectacle. They simply need a voice, a story and the courage to be completely vulnerable.

“Out Here on My Own”, from the 1980 film Fame, was written by Lesley Gore and Michael Gore and became one of the film’s most enduring songs — a beautiful expression of ambition, uncertainty and the need to believe in yourself when you’re trying to find your place in the world.

At High School Rebellion at Crazy Coqs, Samantha Dorsey gave us a beautifully heartfelt performance. Stripped back and intimate, Samantha allowed the song to speak for itself, bringing warmth, vulnerability and real emotional honesty to every moment.

A gorgeous reminder that behind every big dream is someone quietly wondering whether they have what it takes to make it happen.

Performed by @samanthadorsey3 and accompanied by @thomasfarnold (Piano & Musical Director).
