The EP of @senseandsensibilitymusical is out today!

Link in my bio to listen to @beccaridout’s Up to Me, @thatdanielhall’s If You Will Have Me and me on Willoughby!

@thomasfarnold and @grace_o_keefe are stratospheric talents and working on this show has been nothing but a joy. It’s a huge privilege to be trusted to represent a show for the first time and I have been so lucky to have Marianne to myself for so long!

There was a point, years ago now, we needed an Elinor, and I said, ‘Do you want one of my real-life best friends?’ Cue @beccaridout’s perfect Elinor, and two years of her telling me off about my love life on stage AND off. 😉

Swipe through for the journey! 🎀 by @thomasfarnold

⭐ THE MUSICAL MEDEA – LONDON RETURN ANNOUNCED FOR UPSTAIRS AT THE GATEHOUSE ⭐

The London return of THE MUSICAL MEDEA, a bold folk reimagining of the Greek tragedy, has been announced.

This new musical will return to Upstairs at the Gatehouse for a one-week limited run, this September.

THE MUSICAL MEDEA. You will hear her. A new folk musical retelling of the Ancient Greek myth. This time, Medea’s holding the mic. Leaving behind the safety of her homeland, Medea places her trust in Jason and his promise of a glittering future together. But is her faith well placed?

With an original folk score and an ensemble of actor-musicians comes a new dimension to the story you thought you knew of sacrifice, betrayal, and the cataclysmic power of love.

Starring Flo Lunnon as Medea, Alistair Higgins as Jason, Gracie Lai as Housekeeper, Jon Bonner as Creon, Caoimhe De Brún as Sister, Felix Gillingwater as Aegeus and Thomas Fabian Parrish as Messenger.

THE MUSICAL MEDEA is directed by Tara Noonan, with assistant direction by Lewis Reece Jones, musical supervision & arrangements by Thomas Arnold, musical direction by by Thomas Parrish, movement direction by Kim Wright, stage management by Bethany Knowles, set & costume design by Hannah Danson, lighting design by Toby Ison, sound design by Sam Thornton, technical assistance by Ellen Read, general management by Annlouise Butt, assistant general management by Jesse Musker and production assistance by Peixuan Gu.

THE MUSICAL MEDEA has a book, music & lyrics by Costas Hassabis.

THE MUSICAL MEDEA will play Upstairs At The Gatehouse, London, running from 30th September – 4th October 2026, with tickets on sale now.

Brilliant! ! !

In its most terrifying reveal yet, it turns out @edgarmusical.uk is 10 years old this year. We premiered the original version of ‘The House of Edgar’ in a function room in the Radisson Hotel in Edinburgh playing to a room of 60 (initially mostly empty) chairs. That summer was one of my favourites, as over a month the show gradually picked up its own momentum as more and more people discovered our weird little show.

Thanks to the time and care and energy of so SO many people, we’ve been able to chip away at this piece over the decade, developing it into a complex, warts-and-all exploration of love, loss and legacy. Anybody who’s tried to develop a musical knows it takes a village, and doing so over this time has also required all the village’s surrounding suburbs. I feel incredibly grateful to everyone who has had anything to do with ‘Edgar’ over the years. Particularly shoutouts to the constant companions of @bethclarence_ and @jackdrydenuk

I have no idea what will happen with this show, but I hope it will haunt us again soon 👻👻 taken in Edinburgh, Scotland by @thomasfarnold

MICKEY JO THEATRE LIVE - May 2024 - June 2025
Loved playing these shows with my old school pal - awesome to go from messing about on the pianos in the music rooms to playing under the West End. Amazing opportunity to meet some great performers, play a bunch of new rep and improvise some banging Quiz Show music 🎹🎹

Also, I took no photos of these shows, so thanks to @minnale_photography for the candid and @mickeyjotheatre for the video 🙏🙏 taken in Phoenix Arts Club by @thomasfarnold

A SONG OF SONGS - Park Theatre, April/May 2024

Met some amazing people working on this mad fusion of a show. Hugely grateful to @jerome_vdb for giving me the opportunity to work with these amazing, unique musicians as Musical Supervisor. Truly one of the most exciting musical collaborations - honestly, swipe for some of the music we made. Quite nice to get an Offie Nomination for it too 🏆I sadly cannot claim any creative credit for the last video, that was just a jam I got to watch.
