MIMOSA — estreia amanhã no Sesc Paulista 🌱

What does creative space actually mean? For @aubane.bm, it's more than a studio. It's time. It's access. It's connection. It's knowing you're not the only one asking certain questions.

“You can recognise yourself in the work of others. I think that is extremely encouraging.” Creative spaces don't just support artists. They help people find each other. Discover this and more during #GRAW26 on 19 & 20 September!

In January, @coko.space team took me to its bosom, warmly and sharply supporting the development of a new edition of Seeking Venus.
The presentation evening was a beautiful and intense moment, where Bea, Rose, Renatta and Lood kept taking care of me while shaping the piece and simulating the audience. The visitors were more engaged than ever, drawing and shaping together this timeless moment we shared. Thank you again to all the people who took part in this journey, and to @thomaslenden who captured that evening.💜

If you have not done so, make sure to subscribe to COKO’s newsletter, to never miss their monthly performance evenings. If you are an artist and want to grow your practice, I strongly recommend reaching out to them.

Lastly, many thanks to @cultuurfonds , who trusted me in developing my essay Breaking Through the Glass Cages, from which selected parts were beamed during the event.

MIMOSA 🌸☠️🪴
next week ....Frascati @frascatiamsterdam
13,14,15 November 9pm

The Mimosa pudica plant ('Kruidje-roer-me-niet') is known for its rapid movement in response to touch: a sensitive and shy plant. After being displaced and captured in European greenhouses, the plant folded in on itself, playing dead.

Thanks to everyone involved 🌱🌸🪴❤️

Sound is a mystery.
A wave that moves through air,
through space,
through the body,
making every cell vibrate.

The organ - largest instrument in the world.
Its sound doesn’t just fill the space,
it becomes the space.

When I play,
I feel how the whole building resonates,
and the body resonates with it,
like a living cathedral of frequencies.

🕯️ Join me on October 31st
for a special collaboration with MIRAZVON
Sound Healing Bath with Bells of the Ancient World @mira.zvon

I’ll be playing the organ,
letting sound travel through silence,
through air,
through you.

MIMOSA is my ongoing research which fabulates together with the Mimosa pudica plant how to imagine nature as an undomesticated ground.
In a long term collaboration with @swede.hollow under DUST and the music and video from @henrique_vazzz we are in a residency at @inkonst . 🌱🌸🪴
