There is something incredibly energizing about seeing development through the eyes of the people bringing it to life.

Last week’s Louisville development tour offered an inside look at several exciting projects, along with thoughtful conversations about adaptive-reuse value-add redevelopment, affordable housing, financing, and the partnerships required to move great ideas forward.

The tour of Linamel Louisville was especially impressive. Seeing the transformation of an existing warehouse and learning more about the vision, strategy, and collaboration behind the project was a true highlight.

Developers and industry professionals traveled from Charlotte, Florida, Philadelphia, and communities across the country, bringing a valuable mix of perspectives and experiences.

Grateful for the conversations, inspired by the developments underway, and excited to see how these projects continue shaping Louisville and communities across the region.

Six months into construction at The Railyard in Lexington, Kentucky.

After years of planning, designing, financing and problem-solving, it’s pretty incredible to finally see these buildings taking shape.

There have been plenty of challenges along the way, but we’re making progress. All three buildings are now out of the ground, framing is moving quickly, and we’re getting closer to completion every week.

32 apartments. New spaces for local businesses. Here’s where things stand as of August 2026.

These storefronts may still be under construction, but it’s a good time to start the conversation about being part of what we’re building here in Lexington.

Set to open in Spring 2027, we’re now leasing commercial spaces at the Railyard from 750 to 1,500 square feet, with plenty of flexibility to adapt the layout to fit your needs.

I was asked this week how we ended up working with Mefford Contracting, and a lot of the credit goes to Earl.

He was involved from the very beginning, helping price the job, understand the scope, and work through the details before construction ever started. His hard work during bidding was a big part of what gave us confidence in the team.

Since then, he’s been right in the middle of it every step of the way.

We’re getting closer.

Our entertainment district continues to take shape. New tenant signs are going up, buildings are coming together, and work continues on The Rail, our central green, and the remaining retail spaces.

We can’t wait to welcome you when the entertainment district opens!
