You See My Big Smile!!!
I looked at my smile and thought I’m smiling because I’m proud of me!

✨I’m proud of me for finding Purpose for my Passion, for creating work from my gifts,
for being obedient to God when he said, Do this, Go here, Wait, No, Be Quiet, Shift, Not Yet, and not right now. And when I didn’t listen for forgiving myself.
✨I’m proud of me for getting back up, for not giving up, for changing my perspective,
✨for choosing myself, my husband, my children, for loving my family, & for loving my friends.
✨I’m proud of me for believing I could do it, and when I stopped believing, deciding to believe again.
✨I’m proud of me listening to God when I wanted to listen to me!
✨For going to therapy when I needed it, for asking for help, & for helping others.
✨ I’m proud of me for defining my own Success and not letting others tell me what my Success should look like. I’m proud of me for continuing to dream, & for encouraging others to do the same.
✨I’m proud of me for shifting when a season came to an end. For digging up my buried treasure when God said it’s not over.
✨I’m Smiling because I’m not done, I’m a wonderful work in progress and God+Me have more!!!

I am beyond grateful for being a part of the Junior District Attorney’s Mentorship Program’s 5th cohort. I was one of 55 students who were hand picked into this position.

Throughout these 2 weeks, I have been able to meet so many professionals and understand the hand of the law through their eyes and see how their job allows them to do what is required to keep our community safe, secure, and functional. Additionally meeting other interns who come from all sorts of backgrounds wanting to go down numerous paths in their career was amazing to see. In the end, I was able to make stronger bonds and had some self realization on how I want to conduct my life.

Additionally with our Mock Trial, it further solidified my want to pursue the field of law. My goal is to become a Criminal Prosecutor and this experience gave me an idea of what skills I already had and what I could improve on.

None of this would have been possible had it not been for Madam @patsy4da who came up with this entire idea for the program and Mr. Terrell Patrick for facilitating the entire internship (keeping us on our toes for what’s next). Furthermore, thank you to our mentors and every guest speaker that came to speak with us on certain skills. I know with full clarity that everyone who participated in this internship will do big things in big places! I hope to return next year for more exciting work and experiences.

I had the honor and pleasure of being the keynote speaker for @fathersincorporated #GentleWarriorsAcademy Graduation - what an afternoon to watch these men of ALL ages graduate after 10 weeks learning how to be better fathers,
Boyfriends, husbands, co parents and anger management just to name a few!!!

@kennethbraswell and his wife TRACE have been working to help men understand legitimation in Georgia for YEARS … I watched this family transform almost 1000 men in the last 5 years through this program - what an organization
