THANK YOU to everyone that listened and put this record on Top of the charts. Top to bottom it is hard to find a weak link. “Room On The Porch” has a little bit of everything. Very grateful to @kebmomusic and @tajmahalblues for letting me mix it. Go take this thing for a drive and let me know what your favorite song is.

IT’S FINALLY OUT!!! Forever grateful to @kebmomusic for letting me mix this album and record a lot of the overdubs. Also thankful to everyone I tag in this post for your sharing your talents in making this what it is.

As a record maker, you don’t get the instant gratification of a live performance. You often have to wait weeks, months, or in this case over a year to see your work presented. I’ve been making music with Keb’ off and on for about 13 years now. It gets to a point where you start to realize how special some things in life are. Keb’ was coming off of heart surgery and had already done primary tracking on a good bit of the album when I was brought in. I came in with the attitude that if this is the last thing we make together I want it to be a good one. Then I heard the songs. I believe the first 3 roughs he played me were “Junkyard Dog, “ Makeup Your Mind,” and “Room on The Porch.” It was very apparent at that moment that this had the potential to be a very special project. I took it for a drive today, top to bottom uninterrupted and it moves me even more than I remember. I’ll have a lot more to say about this in the coming weeks but for now GO LISTEN!!!
