POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hi friends!!

It has been a minute since I posted. I’ve still be reading, life has just been life-ing REAL hard lately. But Threshing Day was released yesterday, so here I am!! *just a note that there is an artwork spoiler ahead*

It was so good being back at Basgiath!! Did I read this all in one sitting? Yes. Did I love it? Also yes. Rebecca Yarros did not disappoint with this one. I will be honest, I loved a couple threshing stories more than I anticipated! I think my favorite stories were Brennan, Ridoc and Sloane. ❤️

The artwork in this book is AMAZING. If you’ve been around awhile, you know I adore Ridoc. I think it’s because he’s super similar to my husband. 😂 But enjoy the artwork of Aotrom who looks like a total goofball.

Are you reading Threshing Day? 🐉

🍴 First Bite
A friend who knows my thriller weakness recommended this one, and honestly? She gets me. 👀

🤍 The Feeling
This was such a light, easy thriller to fly through. The writing was good without feeling overly complicated, and you still had to use your brain a little to piece together what was happening. I figured out a lot of the twists, but that’s mostly because after reading enough thrillers, you start recognizing the patterns. 😂 There were still a couple that got me, and a few I was very close to figuring out.
Overall, this was a quick, refreshing thriller that kept me turning the pages without making me work too hard for it. Exactly what I needed.

📚 Read This If...
You want a fast, easy thriller with enough twists to keep you guessing without completely scrambling your brain.

🍝 Pasta Menu
Ravioli — light, satisfying, and gone before you know it. ✨

The Left Me Wanting: A twist that completely kicks me in the ass. 😂 That’s honestly what I’m always looking for in a thriller, so if you have a recommendation that’s going to absolutely wreck me, send it my way.

🍴 First Bite
The beginning took me a little to settle into, but once the mystery got moving, I couldn’t stop trying to solve it.

🤍 The Feeling
An outstanding debut. I loved questioning every character and constantly changing my theories. Buddy reading made it even better because we got to compare guesses the whole time. I read a lot of mystery thrillers, and this was one of the strongest I’ve picked up lately. Tiffany Crum is officially an auto-read author for me.

📚 Read This If...
You love modern mystery thrillers with layered characters, twist after twist, and trying to solve the puzzle before the final reveal.

🍝 Pasta Menu — 🌿 Pesto Pasta
A book that felt like it was written just for me. Clever, twisty, and exactly what I want from a mystery thriller.

✨ This book left me wanting to... immediately pick up whatever Tiffany Crum writes next.

I finished the first book that I received from my Traveling Book Club, and it was so, SO good! I had more connections with this book than I thought I would have had.

Thank you to Marissa for suggesting this book! I personally LOVED it.

3-3-3 Book Bestie Challenge featuring my bestie @thrillersandthreads Marissa!

* post idea inspiration from @booklovingjunkie

Marissa and I have been friends for years now, we met on here and now I don’t think I’ve gone more than like 2 days without texting her. She’s kind of stuck with me at this point. Lol.

We both started our accounts as mainly thriller readers and it’s been so fun to see our individual taste change over the years.

Tag the bestie below that you’d want to try this challenge with!

I have to start by saying that if you read the blurb and think an Amy Jo Burns book might not be for you, please rethink that and give it a try. I read and loved Mercury even though I'm not always into family dramas. Amy Jo Burns is a phenomenal writer and I will be reading anything she writes, no matter what.

That being said, obviously I was THRILLED to be selected for the @celadonbooks LFL drop (I still can't believe it!) It was very helpful to have the book and also the electronic ARC from @netgalley so I could read anytime/anywhere. I ended up mostly using my Kindle because I found myself highlighting (and I rarely do that!) For some reason I can't bring myself to highlight in my physical books unless they're textbooks 😂 AJB has beautiful, immersive writing that makes you feel like you're right there in the story.

I buddy read this one with @chapters.and.charcuterie @coffeecozybooklover @claudiaslibrarycard and @thrillersandthreads and ended up getting behind. I can listen to books faster than I can read them (yay for multitasking!) so I requested the ALC on a whim and @macmillan.audio approved it! I'm so glad they did, because this audiobook is amazing!! The brief lyrics throughout the book are actually sung instead of spoken, and hearing the songs at the end was awesome.

Normally I try to be brief in my IG reviews, but I had too much to say about this one 🤣 Everyone in the buddy read agreed that this was a hit. It was published today, so you can grab it and find out for yourself! If you're an audiobook fan, def. add this to your TBR!

Currently three chapters into My Husband’s Wife by Alice Feeney. After a solid romance binge, I needed a thriller reset — and she’s an auto-read for me every time. I’m 100% fine with spoilers and honestly excited to see if she can still surprise me… because I’ve read a lot of thrillers and the equations are already forming in my head.
Let’s talk theories 👀😈
