This was another great read. Three stars is still a good rating in my world. 3 stars means that was a fun read, I enjoyed it and I’ll definitely recommend it. If you like thrillers, supernatural and romance, this is your book!

“By the powers of this 🖤 & 🎃 stack
may the summer heat begin to crack!”

This was so much fun in 2025, I’m bringing back this bookish Halloween spell for Augtober 2026.

Do you think if enough of us start posting Halloween content we can speed up the arrival of cooler days? I’ve tagged some folks to help in this effort but everyone feel free to join in on this spell! Let’s see those black and orange bookstacks!

Don’t get me wrong, I love the summer, especially August with its ember-like smolder, but there is something so magical about those seasonal transitions!

For now I’ll try to be patient and keep the Summerween vibes strong while Oklahoma continues to ride those 100+* highs.

How are you all doing at the end of summer? Do you have any seasonal bucket list things to check off before fall? For me, I’d like to get out and be by the water a bit more.

✨ Welcome Rai to the Riot! ✨📚

Our featured Bookstagrammer this week is Rai, known on Instagram as @thriller_book_nook ! 🖤📖

When asked to share her favorite read, Rai picked Your Deepest Darkest Secret by @livlowryauthor . 👀❤️‍🔥

And when we asked Rai why this book was her favorite, she shared:

“I love this book because it has some of my favorite tropes. It’s one of those books that you can devour from start to finish. It has multiple POVs, unhinged characters, isolated locations, and, of course, a jaw-dropping twist. I found myself at the edge of my seat. I highly recommend it for psychological thriller lovers.” 😱🔪📖

Okay, thriller lovers… this one sounds like a MUST-READ! 👀🔥

Now we want to hear from YOU! What psychological thriller has kept you on the edge of your seat? Drop your recommendation below! 👇📚

🌍 Happy International Day of Friendship! 🫶🏼🎉

🌀 Another Portal has opened to visit more incredible book friends from Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, then over to California & up into the GNW. ✨✨ I was not able to add the portal map due to the limit.

This is our last big teleportation and it will follow by a wrap up this evening.

One of my favorite things about Bookstagram is how stories have a way of connecting people across oceans, continents, languages, and time zones. What started with books has grown into friendships.

Thank you besties for welcoming us into your little corner of the world. It wouldn’t be the same without you. 💚 I had so much fun learning about you all and I hope everyone takes the time to visit everyone’s slide and make new connections. 🫶🏼Please feel free to leave comments if you have things in common with our featured Booksta friends or if you just see something you like etc., 🫶🏼

💚 This adventure only has so many portal stops! If I couldn’t feature you this time, I’ll be doing more features like this soon and plan to feature more book besties. 🌍📚
