What a lovely afternoon at @throughadifferentlensuk Film Festival @rdgbiscuitfactory
I forgot to mention that one of the short films included a film that I worked on as Makeup Artist. Thanks to @resourceproductions for the opportunity!

Now heading to London to do makeup up my lovely client. Then home to do absolutely nothing.

What's your Saturday evening looking like?

This weekend ‘Through A Different Lens Film Festival’ is being held at The Biscuit Factory in Reading and we’re delighted to be sponsoring the post-event drinks. 🎬🥂

Supporting new and emerging talent is at the heart of Shadowbox Independent. Through our ‘independent’ production packages, we help eligible filmmakers access reduced rates across stages, offices, workshops, the
backlot and also access local production support.

We’re proud to support bold, independent filmmaking - and excited to raise a glass to the brilliant creatives making it happen.

See you there! 🥂

The trailer for 'Just A Mum' is officially here and I’m so excited to finally share it.

This project has been a huge part of my life for some time and releasing the trailer feels a bit like watching a child take their first steps into the world.

I want to say a huge thank you to the wonderful people who made this film possible.

Our exec producers, cast, crew, supporters, and collaborators brought skill, compassion, and commitment to every stage of the process.

Just A Mum: When post-partum psychosis shatters the fragile isolation of early motherhood, Alice is plunged into a terrifying collapse of reality and forced to face the truth her mind is trying to hide.

Here’s the trailer. I hope it resonates.

One step closer to completion of #JustAMum with a productive day on the colour grade in London with @colourbyemmanuel @studiofifteen_post

When first-time mother Alice suffers from a post-partum psychosis her world no longer makes sense. Her isolation as a new mum, becomes mixed with paranoia and hallucination, and with her partner Ben absent, Alice struggles to keep herself and her new baby safe. Her insular life turns into a nightmare when she can no longer supress the most difficult truth of all.

We are seeking additional funds to support the film's post production and marketing so if you would like to be part of this project please get in touch via dm.

🎬💫 The Roots Within private film premiere (only with cast, crew and film supporters) happened a couple weeks ago!!

Surrounded by the incredible crew, part of the cast, and all the amazing supporters who believed in this journey, it was such an amazing experience to share with everyone!

Special thanks to Jocelyn from @throughadifferentlensuk for moderating the Q&A, my friends and colleagues in this crazy journey @ankolika and @biancaluciarus and of course @vaniaflaccomio for photography 📸 and everyone else present (physically or in spirit)!

I'm so grateful for every person who helped bring this vision to life and for the opportunity and privilege to share this chapter with such an amazing group. I've taken the feedback on board and the film is now in its festival run and I can’t wait to share more soon! A future private screening in London will follow at some point this year, follow @the_roots_within_film for this.

I know this project can be developed and expanded more, but sometimes it's fine to take a little break from overthinking things and just enjoying the present moment 😵‍💫 ❤️

Last July, I got a WhatsApp from @gemburnand asking if I’d help produce her latest scripted short, Emetophobe, for @_basement36. Note, I usually work in unscripted factual or entertainment series.

That message turned into months of zooms, emails, location hunting, recces and logistics… and eventually six very full-on days on location, filming.

Emetophobe is a personal story for Gemma, drawn from her experience of living with Emetophobia, the anxiety around being sick. It’s not an easy subject to tackle, but she went for it and we do hope the film helps others.

We filmed everywhere from the London Underground to a public swimming pool, a disused office space… even my flat. At points we were feeding 60 cast and crew. February was fairly relentless, especially alongside the telly day job, but a brilliant project to step into and prove that a Producer in scripted or unscripted do the same thing.

Really proud of what Gemma and our whole team pulled off, literally no stone unturned. We even had an underwater camera thanks to @scarletviewmedia Not bad for a WhatsApp out of the blue.

More to come on Emetophobe soon post the edit!
