A PRO-LIFE PRAYER FROM ST. JOHN PAUL II

O Mary, bright dawn of the new world,
Mother of the living, to you do we entrust the cause of life. Look down, O Mother, upon the vast numbers
of babies not allowed to be born, of the poor whose lives are made difficult, of men and women
who are victims of brutal violence, of the elderly and the sick killed by indifference or out of misguided mercy. Grant that all who believe in your Son
may proclaim the Gospel of life with honesty and love
to the people of our time. Obtain for them the grace
to accept that Gospel as a gift ever new, the joy of celebrating it with gratitude throughout their lives
and the courage to bear witness to it resolutely, in order to build, together with all people of good will,
the civilization of truth and love, to the praise and glory of God, the Creator and lover of life.

“Jesus waits for us in this sacrament of love.”

“Jesus is not an idea, a sentiment, a memory! Jesus is a ‘person,’ always alive and present with us! Love Jesus present in the Eucharist. He is present in a sacrificial way in holy Mass, which renews the sacrifice of the cross. To go to Mass means going to Calvary to meet him, our Redeemer. He comes to us in holy Communion and remains present in the tabernacles of our churches, for he is our friend.“

“Receiving the Eucharist means entering into a profound communion with Jesus. ‘Abide in me, and I in you’ (Jn 15:4). This relationship of profound and mutual ‘abiding’ enables us to have a certain foretaste of heaven on earth. Is this not the greatest of human yearnings? Is this not what God had in mind when he brought about in history his plan of salvation? God has placed in human hearts a ‘hunger’ for his word (cf. Am 8:11), a hunger which will be satisfied only by full union with him. Eucharistic communion was given so that we might be ‘sated’ with God here on earth, in expectation of our complete fulfillment in heaven.”

If you are struggling today, this is for you. 🤍

Today is the feast of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, a woman who knew what it was to feel doubted, misunderstood, and overwhelmed. She wrote these words to people who were weary and anxious, and she wrote them as someone who had run to the Heart of Jesus herself.

Hear this today: you are not too much for Him. Your struggle does not push you away from God. It is exactly where His Heart is leaning toward you.

A family in Guatemala was preparing to say their final goodbye to 15-year-old Yuleidy Ixcotoyac when the unthinkable happened. Hours into her wake, mourners noticed her moving inside the coffin! The shocking moment was caught on video and quickly went viral. Her family believes it was a miracle, but doctors have yet to explain what happened.

When Saint Carlo Acutis was documenting Eucharistic miracles, his mother claimed that five of his computers caught fire. She believed it was the devil trying to stop his mission.

It’s a reminder that when we’re doing something good for the Lord, we may face spiritual opposition. But like Carlo, we shouldn’t let that stop us from growing closer to Jesus. ❤️
