𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘓𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘴 is a hybrid group exhibition as part of the 𝘊𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 | 𝘚𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺 project, held from 3 March to 3 April 2022 at 136 GOETHE LAB. This mixed-media, multi-sensory exhibition radically (re)imagines the conditional ways we relate to our increasingly digitalised urban environments and each other. Tracing and unfolding the cloaked systems, illegible structures, and dislocated anxieties that constitute our algorithmic environment, the audience is invited to walk/click through, pause, and embrace these peripheral encounters. Incredibly excited to announce 'A House In Many Parts': a 2 week festival organized with the support of the Goethe Institut, the French Embassy and the Fond Francoallemand, to take place from the 1st - 16th of December, 2020. The artistic director of this festival is Abhijan Toto, who will invite practitioners from France, Germany and Thailand to collaborate on a series of events to take place across this time. The events bring together cinema, theatre, performance, architecture and discursive programming to create a series of assemblies around questions of collective futures, and the presents we occupy.
Each practitioner from France and Germany is invited to send a box to Bangkok, containing either an object, an idea, an exhibition etc, which is received by a corresponding practitioner in Thailand, selected by the artistic director. The invited respondents then conceive of an evening of programming around the contributions received by them, which will take the form of screenings, performance, workshops, parties, discussions, an opera, happenings in public space, and create a safe space of expression..
Schedule:
01.12. 2020 @baanrimnaam
03. 12. 2020 @goetheinstitut_thailand
04. 12. 2020 @ku_bkk
