One of our most memorable experiences across all the NYC best bars was Martiny’s. No. 23 Best Bar in North America and No. 46 in the World in 2026, Martiny’s lives in an 1800s carriage house. Our bartender, @e_sugar, was named one of the top 100 US bartenders in 2026 and truly made the experience delightful. We loved their unique cocktails and hospitality. Here are the drinks we sipped:

Caprese

Guzzle, of Sip & Guzzle, was an incredible experience. No.1 Best Bar in North America and No. 14 in the World in 2026, just 2 years after opening, Guzzle not only has innovative cocktails, but the food hits too. This is the sister to Tokyo’s legendary @the_sg_club and thankfully founder @shingo_gokan has brought this Japanese cocktails meets New York Tavern double trouble to NYC. Our favorite foodies were the Volcano Roll, Pork Yaki and Chicken Chips & Dip.
Here are a few of the wonderful drinks we sipped:
Super Lychee Martini
The SG Shochu Kome, Lychee, Raspberry, Grapefruit, Rose, Dairy
Coffee Martini
Haku Vodka, The SG Shochu Kome, Arcane Estate Coffee, Cocchi Americano
Wagyu Old Fashioned
Toki Whisky, Bourbon, Peanut Butter, Wagyu Beef

Sip & Guzzle is the No. 1 bar in North America and No. 14 in the World in 2026, but it’s actually 2 bars in one - Sip downstairs & Guzzle upstairs. Here we are featuring Sip, the more intimate space below. We LOVED our quick pre-dinner drinks. Here’s what we tried:
Green Doctor - tequila, tomatillo, green apple, shiso, horseradish, carbonated
Tomato Tree - roku gin, fruit, flower, leaj, sap
Satsuma Creamsicle - the sg shochu IMO, calamansi, whey eau de vie, amish milk, vanilla
Each bar features its own drink menu so make sure to make time to try both. We had a Friday reservation at Guzzle and came about an hour early to squeeze into Sip. #tastehunter #newyorkcity #cocktails #foodie #travel

Even before this channel existed we were capturing our incredible food operas. This was our meal at @leorestaurantcol in July 2022, the year Chef @leoescocina was named Best Female Chef in the World by @theworlds50best. This was one of our top 5 meals of ALL TIME. The incredible food captured the story of Colombian cuisine, using different ingredients and techniques from all over Colombia. The plates were hand crafted and gorgeous, the staff delivered each dish in perfect unison as if it were some kind of ballet, and the beverage program lead by @laurasommelier was impeccable. Even 4 years later I still think about this meal often. Currently Leo is No. 23 on the @latam50best and No. 76 in the World. La Sala de Laura, the bar inside is No. 95 on the Best Bars in the world list for 2026. We’d love to go back and capture in portrait mode next time. .

Double Chicken Please, located on the Lower East Side of NYC, was our 4th stop on Day 1 of our NYC residency. Things were starting to get a little tipsy! No. 41 @50bestbars in the World in 2025 and No. 35 Best Bar in North America in 2026, Double Chicken Please is definitely a bar we’d like to go back to and experience The Coop’s menu and eat all the fried chicken. They held the No. 1 North America spot in 2023. This bar had a delightful funk. We tried the Tipsy Tulip made with @greygoose, which was too easy to drink and the She’s So Old Fashioned made with @glenfiddichwhisky 12yr which was a kick in the pants. We were able to squeeze into Free Range without a reservation around 5:30 on a Sunday, but when we left about an hour later there was a long line of people waiting to get in.

Schmuck., located on the Lower East Side in NYC, was our 3rd stop on Day 1 of our NYC residency. No. 59 Best Bar in the World 2025 and No. 4 Best Bar in North America 2026, this bar is divided into 3 sections, each with different drink menus, The Lounge, The Small Bar and The Terrace, at least that’s what the door man told us. Our favorite was The Lounge where we had our favorite drink of the entire day, The Green Paloma, and a close second, The Bread and Tomatoes. Both were so well balanced, interesting and way too easy to drink. We’re not normally into Paloma’s, but we are so happy we took this recommendation. We also couldn’t get over the free cigarettes, we really loved the laid back vibes here. In The Small Bar, things felt a little more unwelcoming. We tried the Le Banane, which was too sweet for us, and the Pho Fizz, which was beef on the nose but light and salty on the palate. It was a trip for sure, one we probably won’t take again, but more Green Palomas please which are on both menus.

¡Superbueno!, located on the Lower East Side of NYC, was our second stop on Day 1 of our NYC residency. This Mexican American cocktail bar is No. 12 in the World (2025) and No. 9 in North America (2026) on the @50bestbars list. We tried the Roasted Corn Sour, which had house made sweet corn infused whiskey and garnished with corn husks. Mixed by the very fun and friendly @rmando_acm. It was yummy, but not as corny as we had hoped. We also tried the chips and guac which was delightful and the Vodka Y Soda, where they take their guava agua fresca, clarify it, filter it and clarify it again and bake guava to create the guava salt rim. It was dangerously easy to drink.

Bar Snack, located on the Lower East Side of NYC, was our first stop on our NYC @50bestbars residency and was our favorite of Day 1. It’s the No. 3 Best Bar in North America and we have a strong feeling it will end up on the next World list. We arrived for happy hour which is 2-6 Sundays-Thursdays and they had delightful food and drink combos. We got the Jerez Moment which included the ham plate, gilda stuffed olives and the Sherry Cobbler cocktail. The Sherry Cobbler packed a mighty punch, the Melonade was dangerously easy to drink and the ham plate was a perfect snack. We also tried the High Tide, a beautiful gimlet with a candied kiwi. We loved their ‘dressed up cocktails for dressed down people’ vibe and Laury, our mixologist, was wonderfully welcoming. It’s currently at the top of our list for favorite bars on this trip.

We checked out Realm of the 52 Remedies in San Diego, California. No. 93 on the @50bestbars list, this speakeasy is tucked inside another bar, Common Theory. Delightfully decorated with a uniquely curated menu, it’s the only bar on the list in San Diego. Not sure if the slightly mean vibe from some of the staff was intentional or not, maybe that’s part of their schtick. Drinks were interesting for sure and we loved the Thai cheesecake dessert! #tastehunter #sandiego #cocktails #foodie

We were lucky enough to squeeze into Addison by William Bradley last weekend, the first 3 Michelin Star restaurant in California and No. 31 on the 50 Best Restaurants in North America list. Their signature dish ‘Eggs and Rice’ was one of our favorite bites. It was incredibly rich and decadent. N25 Reserve Caviar, Koshihikari Rice, Smoked Sabayon, Sesame. Also, the Waygu was the best we’ve ever had. The Waygu cattle from Japan is fed only olives left over from the pressings to make olive oil. The sear had a crispy pork belly quality to it which was mind blowing. Overall, they didn’t really deliver on the promise of the premise of locally sourced ingredients, all of our proteins seemed to be sourced from Japan and we were also craving more of a story for this food opera. We were also a little disappointed that the chef didn’t stop by after watching him go to all other tables (we’re chef nerds) but it was fantastic meal nonetheless and we’re happy to have had the experience. .
