Wild Florida doesn’t care about party, it just needs to be conserved

And the stances of overdevelopment and pro AI data centers by Byron Donalds are not what Florida needs.

Whereas David Jolly, a former Republican, sees Wild Florida as a priority.

And most Republican & Democrat voters do as well.

It should not be endlessly paved and its pristine land taken for AI data centers.

What does Saving Suni Sands actually mean and how do we pay for it?

Saving Suni Sands means purchasing the site from the current land owner and preserving it as open space. There are multiple funding options available and since we know that the town has been very creative in the past finding money for projects that are important for the residents, we are confident this can be accomplished.

Open Space Bond $16.5 million:

Back in 2019, 74.8% of Jupiter voters approved a $20 million bond for the purpose of acquiring land that falls into at least one of the following categories: environmentally sensitive, waterfront, archaeologically or historically sensitive. This bond was overwhelmingly approved with the intent of purchasing Suni Sands. Just over $16.5 million remains for this purpose.

CRA Fund $20 million:

The Community Redevelopment Agency is intended to provide a source of continued funding for projects including environmental enhancement, protection of unique historic, cultural, and archaeological resources and other public projects that contribute to sustainability of the area. This fund has upwards of $20 million. Suni Sands falls within the CRA boundary and meets the criteria.

The public needs to remind council that the town sits on funds that can be and should be used. Between the funding sources listed above plus additional state, federal and private options, purchasing the property is possible.

Saw these lumps from my peripherals! Had to stop!

These cuties will release their full bladder on their predators in order to escape. I fell victim to a huge spill 😂.

An interesting fact is that these toads have two glands located on their back. When stressed the glands release a white poisonous substance. When handling these toads it is always important to thoroughly wash hands after. And make sure to keep pets away!
