A ridiculous last minute trip to the last frontier! 8 species, 7 of which were a first for me! To say the place is wild is an understatement! #alaskaflyfishing #alaskaonfly #itonlycountsonfly

We’ve made a lot of memories with Derek over the years. And a few pretty damn cool reels.

We’ve spent a lot of years talking fish, art, and whatever crazy idea we should put on a reel next.

For Derek, it all comes back to fishing. The fish he catches, the places he goes, and those little details that somehow make their way back to his gallery in Livingston, Montana.

You know his art, but we thought you should know a little more about the guy behind it.

Since I met Mike, he has talked about a trip he took to Tikchik Lodge 20 years ago and how he has hoped to return ever since. So we started planning this trip two years ago to celebrate his milestone birthday. The setting, the adventure and the guides and the staff gifted us an exceptionally unique experience that was magical in a way that’s difficult to describe. And we were lucky enough to share it all with dear friends! These memories will live for a very long time and we are so very grateful.
