And with that…Liberty Mountain 2026, has come to a close. It’s a bittersweet parting. I came into the show with a different role. I did not know what to expect, or how it would turn out. Then an opportunity arose, and I did not hesitate to take it. And I am grateful for the people who took the chance to believe in me, to portray Caleb Martin as the young, daring, and brave boy that he is. Throughout the 2 months I was in Kings Mountain, I learned stage combat, got certified in knife, went through hours of rehearsals and shows and medical concerns and worries. But all of those hardships were mellowed out by the people who I worked/lived with during this time. Jokes were made, banter was plentiful, laughter was shared, tears were shed and lessons were learned. We played games, spent days off together, watched anime, went to an abandoned mall, and stargazed at night. The comfort and camaraderie was beyond anything I could have asked for. I felt at home. And now that it’s over, I can’t help but feel an emptiness in me, which will take a while to heal. But the memories will always live on in my heart (and my phone 🤪). This opportunity truly was a blessing, and I know that everyone was brought together for this show for a reason, one way or another. I want to thank everyone who showed their love and support for me during this journey. No matter how you showed your support, it means a lot to me, truly. To my lovely friends I made along the way…I love you all. You have no idea how much you all have helped me grow, as an actor, and as a person. I hope that we get to see each other again in the future. 😌🩵 And with that…. “We won’t be outdone by the old graybeards 👴🏻” -Caleb Martin #kingsmountainnc #libertymountain #revolutionarywar #actor #theatre

“We come to defend our homes, our families, our future. We know the journey will be hard, the fight perilous. But whatever happens, it will be in service to our liberties!” - Silas Martin In life we all fight for different causes, some defend their beliefs, but this entire cast Stood On Business! Playing a character is more than just acting for me, it’s learning their experiences, making profound choices, and portraying realism to its fullest capacity! This year was amazing! Every cast member, staff member, and audience member made every show special and worth it! It was truly a blessing! My sixth season at Liberty Mountain comes to a close. What marked this year was a sense of community and comradery. I’m very blessed that I have the opportunity to work in theatre — some days you don’t really take it all in, but when you do, you realize just how wild and fun the things you’re doing at “work” are. It’s a gift to be able to play pretend. To become someone else while also connecting with and exploring the deepest parts of yourself. To put on a costume and literally feel what it would’ve felt like to be this person. To hold the things your characters would’ve held; from a gavel to a musket. To collaborate with others and learn of the stories that they want to tell. To deeply link to people who you will only know for a fraction of your life. It’s all such a gift. Thank you all for a wonderful season! Enjoy many of the candid photos I took this year.

Summer reenacting with Liberty Mountain! Didn’t take too many photos, 1700s illusions must be preserved. Hung out with cool people, survived the heat, slept in an 18th century tent, and portrayed a red coat on the 4th of July! What more could an American girl ask for? By far some of the best weekends of the summer!

S I L A S - This was one of the most memorable and rewarding experiences I have ever been a part of. The joy that I had playing Silas Martin brought many emotions out of me I almost forgot I had. Working with a beautiful cast, lifelong friends, and people I won’t ever forget, made this Show even more special! Some may not know, but many times in the beginning I wanted to quit and drop out because of the immense pressure I put on myself to portray the character and embody someone I had little knowledge about. But after speaking with my therapist and directors @writerfarmeractor & @ashtreeofthesea lol, they gave me solid advice and I learned more about the history and truly embodied the character. Speaking with GOD, I knew it was time to give it my all and dedicate my time to making sure every show was memorable for every audience member. Having my family show up and seeing their admiration and smiles gave me a sense of fulfillment! I just pray and hope every person who came to the shows and the cast that were a part of this play enjoyed it as much as I did! Thank you for everything! Huzzah! #LibertyMountain

That concludes my fifth season at Liberty Mountain!! What a great honor it has been to work with this cast. The best way I would describe it is lightning in a bottle. I truly feel that this was the best iteration of this show that we’ve had so far; and I can say for certain I’ve made some new friends for life, with whom I got to share many “firsts” with. As a bonus, I got to play this version of Captain Abraham DePeyster, which I’ve wanted to do since my first year in this show when I was twelve. With time, patience, and great effort, your dreams can become a reality.

I’m incredibly honored and humbled to be able to say that I originated a role in a world premier of a play. Not too many times you get to do that in your career. What made it most impactful, though, was that this play was directed by my dear friend Jeremy Homesley. I can’t begin to explain how proud I am of him for writing such an amazing play and putting it on with such skill and talent. As a fellow playwright, it’s something I know I can look to for the future. Much like how Abraham DePeyster looked up to Patrick Ferguson. Getting to play DePeyster was an honor, and something I’ve been looking forward to since I started acting in historical dramas. Not to mention that I had the coolest costume of my career so far. I can’t wait to keep making memories with King of Kings!

So excited for our 2025 season of Horn in the West! 🎭✨ Step back into the 18th century and experience the dramatic struggle for survival in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Join us this summer in Boone, NC, for an unforgettable outdoor drama that brings history to life! #HornInTheWest #OutdoorDrama #BooneNC #HistoryComesAlive A dramatic moment unfolds onstage at Horn in the West, Boone, NC’s beloved outdoor drama. Captain MacKenzie, dressed in an elaborate red and gold-trimmed military coat, black boots, and white breeches, leans forward aggressively, gripping the hilt of his sword as he confronts Dragging Canoe, a powerful Cherokee leader. Dragging Canoe, wearing a red vest, traditional beaded necklaces, and war paint streaked across his face, meets the captain’s gaze while holding a long, ornately decorated spear. A colonial settler, clad in a long beige coat and black tricorn hat, stands tensely in the background, watching the confrontation unfold. The actors perform on a stage covered in sand, framed by a rustic wooden palisade under the warm glow of stage lighting. This powerful scene is just one of many in Horn in the West, the nation’s longest-running Revolutionary War outdoor drama, set in Boone, NC. The production immerses audiences in the struggles and triumphs of 18th-century Appalachian settlers, featuring historical figures like Daniel Boone and indigenous leaders like Dragging Canoe. Join us for our 2025 season, running from July 10 to August 2, and experience an evening of live-action storytelling, history, and adventure in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains! #HornInTheWest #OutdoorTheater #BooneNC #LivingHistory

Spooky Season: Liberty Mountain edition 💀 It is one week until Halloween and we can’t think of a spookier character in Liberty Mountain than our very own Bloody Bill Cunningham — portrayed here by @tilitbmorrow (Chris is far less scary in real life, we promise) 👻 📸: @katiecstone
