POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
As the sun finally sets on OBX I've been reflecting on the last 7 years of my life working on the show and feeling so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with so many incredible, talented people. We became family, which started at the top with Josh and Jonas Pate, who gathered their peeps in S1 to make this little show and 7 years later here we are saying a final goodbye. Working on OBX has been the greatest, most challenging but rewarding experience of my career.

I spent most of my time in post production, editing and collaborating with our incredible team of editors, assistants, music, sound and vfx folks and wonderful post crew. I am so proud of all we accomplished together, the stories we told and how we told them. We are Pogues through and through forever!

One of my highlights was directing episode 206 My Druthers (during the 2020 shutdown), which never would've happened without the encouragement and support of Jonas and Josh. After shadowing Jonas for four episodes, he held my hand and was by my side on set everyday, as I navigated my way through directing for the first time.. the most terrifying, thrilling and rewarding challenge I've ever faced. Thanks will never be enough to him, Josh and Shannon Burke for giving me this opportunity and for trusting me at the helm in all things post prod.

Special thanks to our incredibly talented editors this season Tim Quackenbush, Nicole Vaskell, Jeff Werner and David Crabtree and their assistant editors (some who also co-edited), Meredith Hicks, Jennifer MacFarland, Greg Goldman and Jack Keough and apprentice editor, Sam Gjerd. Y'all are the best in the biz!

Huge thanks to Aaron Miller, Caroline Dobbe, Nick Estrin-Barks and Logan Detwiler for keeping our ship moving, steady, on time and on budget!!!

To our consummate composer, Fil Eisler, your heart breaking themes will ring in my ears for many days to come. You are the absolute BEST!

Music editor, Josh Winget, sound sup, Sam Lewis and sound mixer, Andy D'Addario and VFX sup Larry Detwiler - thank you for your hard work and pure brilliance!

Here's a photo dump of my time on set... Sadly lots of Covid masks but you get the idea.

Happy season 5 y'all

I have been avoiding sharing how much fun I had at the final OBX premiere. I think if I don’t acknowledge it then that means it’s not over and I somehow will return to work for an imaginary season 6.

This show has been a part of my life for the last 4 years and I really don’t want it to end. It has been an amazing experience with the most wonderful people. I’ve learned so much from our amazing post team and I will miss our OBX fam. 🥹

The final premiere of @obx 🥹❤️‍🔥 What a masterful job @sunnyhodge did as co exec producer of this epic series (and even director of episode 206 “My Druthers”! 🎥) I couldn’t be more proud. What a pleasure to have worked on it with the incredibly talented actors in voiceover @ranjanibrow and post team @samlewisaudio
