POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

August 20th! The final season of Outer Banks arrives on Netflix.

I had the pleasure of cutting the season premier and the fantastic series finale. I also got to tag team with the amazing Meredith Hicks as a co-editor on another episode.

Really stoked for everyone to enjoy one last ride with the Pogues!! It's a killer season, we're bringing it on home, baby. #p4l #obxnetflix by @tim_quackenbush

Caught an absolutely gorgeous set from @maraqopa in Greenpoint this evening. An unplanned but absolutely wonderful development.
Damien's music has resonated with a big ol piece of my soul for many many years now, and I really needed this tonight.

Thanks, universe, for aligning things as such this weekend. taken in St. John's Lutheran Church, Greenpoint, NY by @tim_quackenbush

I loved opening and ending episode 503 this season of Outer Banks with two very different moods using the same footage. A dreamy disorienting timejump back to the OBX to begin the episode, and the darker moody ending mostly through John B's perspective as reality begins to catch up to the gang.

A nice crafty bit of storytelling that started on the page and we got to play with even more once we got into the edit.

The final season of Outer Banks is out on Netflix! Go stream it now!!!

It has been a singular privilege to work on this show for the entire run, this season I got to co-edit episode 503 with Meredith Hicks, as well as cutting the season premiere and the wild series finale. Long winded post incoming, and words aren't my strong suit (unless it's temp ADR), but I shall try.

I'm eternally grateful to Jonas, Josh and Shannon for letting me help bring this world to life on screen. I've never taken what you've entrusted with me for granted and it's been a life altering adventure. A journey filled with a boatload of emotions - joy, doubt, stress, happiness, and huge rewards creatively.

Huge thank yous and the highest praise go out to Sunny Hodge. She has been our editorial center, guiding light and beacon in the storm throughout the process. This show wouldn't be what it is without her and she should get all the flowers forever. Our entire edit team was an amazing squad of creative talent I was lucky to work alongside again. David, Jeff, Nicole, Greg, Jack, Jennifer, Sam and of course my amazing assistant editor Meredith - I would travel into a raging hurricane with you all any day of the week knowing everyone had each other's backs.

Huge shouts out to our entire post team which made everything possible. Aaron, Caroline, Nick & Logan and our whole VFX crew which made the spectacular a reality, Larry, Alex, Andrew, JP, Sarah & Keagan. Andy D'addario our mixer, Sam Lewis our supervising sound editor, and their entire sound team made the show sound so so so good. Fil Eisler, our phenomenal composer who put three big notes into the world that will forever echo in my head (bwhaa wah wahhhhhh) along with all his other amazing compositions. Josh Winget our great music editor, Scott Klein our colorist and everyone at The Saw for making the show look so great.

Never to forget the entire production crew(s) who did the hard long days out there across the damn globe getting our amazing footage, and of course all of the wonderful and kind cast who inhabited these characters.

A profound thanks to everyone involved in the show and everyone who watched. It has been a honor. P4L by @tim_quackenbush

Hey NYers! I'll be at this screening next Monday evening at SVA. Come see the killer short I cut for @twinkledoon and @mack.wolf.webb , and presumably a bunch of other great shorts. Come hang! Tix link in bio by @tim_quackenbush

Wild to say it, but I wrapped out on my last episode editing Outer Banks recently. This show has been a part of my life for so many years now it's a bit of a system shock to have it coming to a close. It has been a singular honor to work with so many talented people creating a show that has found so many fans worldwide.

Forever grateful to the creators Jonas, Josh and Shannon for trusting in me to help steer the good ship OBX. Equally indebted to Jeff Werner and Sunny Hodge for their editorial guidance, mentorship and support. As well it would have been impossible without my amazing assistant editor (and more recently co-editor!) Meredith Hicks.

I came onto the show as an AE and began cutting on season 2. From there it was all gas, no brakes - cutting season premieres/finales, major character deaths, huge action set pieces. An unbelievably challenging yet rewarding run.

Shout outs to the entire cast and crew for their work, and our whole post team which was together for much of the shows run. Aaron, Caroline, Nick, Sam, Larry, Alex, JP, Andrew and everyone else - y'all made everything possible. 🙏🙏🙏

To my fellow editors Nicole, David, Jeff, Darrin, and all those in the seasons before, I was lucky to share the same Avid Unity with you. 💫

Looking forward to some relaxing and family time, but available in the upcoming months if you're looking for an editor who knows their way around an international hit show 😎
