@londonmarathon 2025 with @newbalancerunning ✅💖

So much to say about this weekend… but firstly, biggest thank you in the world to the entire @newbalancerunning team for this opportunity of a lifetime and for all the incredible hospitality over this weekend <3 will be forever grateful!!

This was my 4th marathon and I think it turned out to be my hardest - I had an abbreviated training block due to an injury, and the heat yesterday was brutal. Went into it ‘party pacing’ but by mile 10 my legs were hurting and by mile 20 was genuinely fighting to keep my legs moving. The energy of London was absolutely incredible though, I had so much fun running this and it was such a cool way to see the city :)

@samanthamacintyrexo I can’t thank you enough for sticking by my side through this race - for all the checkins, for motivating and inspiring me to keep going - especially when it got so tough towards the end. Yesterday would have probably gone so differently without - thank you for getting me through <33 had the BEST time running tg!!

@timdowney_dpt THANK YOU for getting me to this point. In January it hurt to walk and I didn’t know if I’d be able to make it to the start line- but with PT every week and a diligent cross/strength training and return to run plan - he got me to the start line pain free and ultimately through the finish, which I’m so grateful for!!

@olga_mavridis thank you for cheering me on this weekend ily and could not do this without you ❤️

Time to take a little break …. Until NYC marathon :)

🦊 Meet the NYRA Coaches! 🦊

Next up: Tim Downey (@timdowney_dpt ) 🌽🚜

Hailing from “The Greatest Midwest Collab: Illinois x Michigan“, Tim started coaching in 2014-15 as a performance strength coach for athletes before bringing on run coaching in 2016. His expertise lies in integrating training & strength, helping athletes understand not just what they’re doing, but why they’re doing it.

🔥 What he loves about coaching:
“My favorite part of coaching & PT is helping athletes put the puzzle pieces together—implementing training & strength, and educating them on what they’re doing & why they’re doing it.”

🏃‍♂️ Favorite workout to prescribe:
“Good for the systems and soul: 1600 / 4x200 / 3200 / 4x400 / 1600 / 4x200.”

🌆 Favorite places to run in NYC:
“They’ll disagree til they run them: The triple crown—Newtown Creek to Cemetery to McGolrick Park (#1 park in the boroughs).
Highly underrated: LaGuardia ↔️ Wegman’s.”

📍 Where can you find him when he’s not running?
“Eating pizza with the Glue Factory, at concerts or live sports games, or deep dive reading on existentialism, biomechanics & physiology (or working 😅).”

💬 Have a question for Tim? Drop it in the comments! 👇

2024 NYC Marathon: This Time It’s Personal

@nycmarathon is always an absolute blast, probably my favorite marathon in the roster. The crowd absolutely pops off, you run with all your friends through shut down streets, the weather is killer, plus the hills and bridges roast your legs and spirits.

But I wouldn’t ask for it any other way.

This marathon means a lot to me.

1 year ago I was out of shape, stressed out, feeling pressure to perform to keep up with this facade of who I portrayed myself to be, pedaling through multiple aches, pains, and injuries, as well as in the midst of the beginning of the end of a relationship I thought was going to be “the one” that I really based my self-worth in.

I have spent the past few months rebuilding my self-confidence from the ground up, learning again who I am and what I truly care about, diving back into relationships both old and new, enjoying the journey one step at a time, and running was a huge part of that (pun intended).

Thank you to everyone who’s been there along the way to push me forward and build me up, I appreciate and love you all so much!

Today was just another day, but it was an important one for me to remember why I love doing this stupid thing.

Let it rip.
