This memory of a concert with my friend @timdurkovic popped up yesterday in my feed. Coincidentally, today, Tim and I are playing a recital together( Fauré Elegy, Beethoven Variations on Magic Flute and Brahms E minor Sonata). What a joy when the music making is so easy and natural with a great friend, when words are not necessary because souls float in the same world! This recital was donated by us and our hostess to support our dear @longbeachsymphony : sharing the love of music and all the magnificent emotions it brings to all human beings is a necessity and a beautiful mission.

In awe! The beautiful Steinway piano donated by Dr James Vail just arrived this morning at Mount Wilson Observatory. Thank you, Teri Meredyth, for the restoration that I can’t wait to discover very soon. Gratitude to all those involved. Sunday, we will celebrate and continue the fundraiser with a concert where Tim Durkovic, Ambroise Aubrun and yours truly will play some glorious music in this magical venue. www.mtwilson.edu/events/piano-premiere042626

the hemlock ceilings will get you first. then the dramatic stonework. then the light pouring through every window onto every carefully chosen surface. foster rhodes jackson designed this claremont hills home in 1953 and barbara bestor just restored it, and between the two of them they have made it nearly impossible to walk from one room to the next without gasping. listed by @brettlawyer & @timdurkovic #iginteriors #midcenturymodern
