“Dammooni Lal Qatee3” finds @bittermouthfeel leaning into a hazy, melodic sound, built around processed vocals, recurring synth motifs and a weighty low end.

The production leaves plenty of space for the vocals to move between melody and rhythmic phrasing, while the live drums keep the track grounded without taking over its atmospheric feel by @fares_aldahhan

Rather than relying on dense instrumentation, the track builds its character through repetition, vocal textures and the contrast between its softer melodic layers and heavier bass.

BLTNM (@bltnm_fam) just dropped the first episode of their new web series, Rad Saree3, yesterday.

The moral of the trippy, animated, YouTube-native video is: if you're in Palestine, never take a mystery pill from Shabjdeed (@kngothx).

Watch the full episode through the 🔗 in bio.

DUNDEE X BEIRUT 🇱🇧

In May, Dundee based maker, @RhonaJack_ and Lebanese animator, Romy Matar @timiiie created a collaborative mural at Kirk Lane footpath in Dundee's City Centre, titled Overlapping at the Seams 🖌️

It is the partner mural to Fields of Power; a mural created in Beirut, Lebanon in 2022 by Dundee based illustrator, @LaurenMorsley and graphic designer, @SamerBSaleh

We would like to thank everyone who supported this project and celebrated the launch of Overlapping at the Seams 💚

You can read more about this longstanding collaboration on our website, via the link in our bio 🔗

This project has been supported by @BritishCouncil's Momentum Follow-up Fund and is a collaboration between @DesignDundee, @OpenCloseDundee and @AhlaFawda.

Our new record Public Luxury is out today on @subpop. Our final single "Yellow Sun" is a song for Lebanon, with lyrics inspired by Etel Adnan's poetry, especially "Beirut 1982." The song names the horrors (“phosphorous skies,” “every day an angel explodes”) while also insisting on the possibility of a new day: “The trees grow in every direction / I’m still heavy with love..."

The gorgeous video by Romy Matar (@timiiie ) is a fable-like tribute to the decades of displacement and hostility faced by the indigenous shepherds and rural communities of Palestine and Lebanon since 1948.

"Yellow Sun" and all of Public Luxury are out everywhere now!
