POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My Mom was a huge fan of this account and my silliness with this. I am shaking my head just thinking about the years that my Mom had to deal with my ridiculous relationship with food. I could tell dozens of stories surrounding food and me and my Mom. The struggle was real… even from the time I was a baby and would spit up any kind of Gerber’s baby food that was fruit.

So, shout out to all of the Moms out there, doing their best to help their kids eat well. Heck, these days… to put food on the tables at all. Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms out there, and to all of you grieving the loss of your Mom like my family is… on this first Mother’s Day without our sweet, overly encouraging Mom.

My Percival Everett collection is growing! 📚

Adding “Erasure” to my signed book collection.

Thank you to the @ocpubliclibraries for putting together a lovely event with Percival and Marcus. “James” was my favorite read of 2025 and I couldn’t miss the opportunity of a lifetime to hear him speak about it.

Marcus: “how do you feel about James now that it’s won these accolades?

Percival: “I’m so over this book” 😂😂😂

“James” was selected as Orange County’s “One County. One Book.” and it brings me so much joy to see that people 1. Read lol and 2. Hold “James” with the same admiration I do.

A couple months ago I read “Erasure” with my book club. A phenomenal book and also highly recommend. Percival is a talented writer and I’m excited for what he produces next. Next I’ll be reading “The Trees” from Percival’s backlog.

❓Have you read James and or any books by Percival Everett?

The store may be busy, but there’s always time for moments like these. And as always, tongues out 😜

I just finished Jesus and John Wayne. This book has answered questions I have had for 10 years. It was incredibly insightful.
