Why are lived experiences so powerful? Because they inherently shape our skills and shape our values. There is power in recognizing and sharing them. We are excited to continue our NSL Stories series, sharing lived experiences from our team, collaborators, clients, and learners. Next up, NSL’s Co-founder and COO @tinahossain shares her personal and professional story, and how her co-leadership has continued to take our team from vision to execution. 🚀⚡️

Learn more about her pivot from growing up as an undocumented immigrant into entrepreneurship to co-found Next Shift Learning with her life partner @sergerosas. Check out the #linkinbio to read her Story.

Stay tuned for more! 👏🏽

We’re thrilled to announce that Next Shift Learning was accepted into Google’s @techequitycollective! This storied program focuses on growing Black technical talent and includes $50k in funding, six months of mentorship, and a cohort experience where we can test new upskilling approaches. We’re so excited to join an incredible group of organizations working to open new pathways into tech.

We’re leveraging our time in this program to create learning experiences that build emotional agency, strengthen confidence to navigate team dynamics, and unlock adaptability for long-term success in the workforce for Black technical talent. We can't wait to use this opportunity to further our mission to build an equitable workforce that thrives. 🚀

Our next #FounderSpotlights feature is for @nextshiftlearning! Hear what co-founders @tinahossain and @sergerosas shared with us about their experience in the @pledge.la Founders Fund program thus far. 🎤

Next Shift Learning (NSL) is a workforce design studio on a mission to create learning content and experiences that power untapped talent's economic and professional growth. Their vision is to build an equitable workforce that thrives. 🔥

In three years, they’ve grown their client base to include leading tech, augmented reality, entertainment, media, social justice, and public policy companies, expanded their team to three employees and fostered a network of 50+ contractors (curriculum developers, instructional designers, instructors, and subject matter experts); and grown to 11,000 subscribers of underrepresented early career builders. 👏

If you are a company or organization seeking to upskill talent, whether they’re trying to break into the industry or they’re trying to move up within your organization, NSL is here to support you in developing a transformative learning experience that gets talent Day One ready to create impact. Get in touch with them via their website! If you’re a learner, seeking to invest yourself in gap-closing knowledge, sign up for their mailing list at the link in their bio. 🚀

We are so proud of our founders and the work they do! We look forward to highlighting more of these awesome companies in the coming weeks. 🙌
