Feeling like I’ve truly found home in this wonderful city.
So much has changed in the last few months.
I bought a house in February which borders the mountains and have been so fortunate to fill it with the most beautiful people, including my best friend from home. We’ve aptly named our house The Gaybles and have been hosting poetry and other creative events from our humble little home. I’ve been reading lots more, finally getting back into the rhythm of some sort of a creative practice outside of the time spent in the garden or working. I’m back in the picture framing industry which has been a nice reprieve from darkroom chemistry and feels like I’m going back to my roots. We have an amazing team of dear friends working there. Missing so many people from Geelong and feeling very far away at times, but community here has been welcoming and inspiring. I wish I could amalgamate all my loved ones together. So many projects on the go but going lots slower than usual with all the extra responsibilities. Trying to care for my health and beat this chronic fatigue beast that’s been following me for the last 18 months. Spring has sprung and the work we’ve done in the garden is really shining. The days are getting longer and the weather is making the rivers all the more appealing. Here are a few moments from the last little while.
