Preston townhouse project - the kitchen ✨

With the clients’ love of colour, we wanted the kitchen to be the focal point, while keeping the surrounding walls and ceiling light and bright. This kitchen showcases a mix of rich tones, textured finishes and thoughtful details, bringing personality to this townhouse. Bold cabinetry creates a standout feature, balanced by contrasting surfaces and warm accents. The result is a kitchen that feels fresh, modern, functional and full of character, while tying seamlessly into the rest of the home. 🏡

A little colour, a little creativity, and a big thank you! 🎨❤️

A huge thank you to @tint.paint for sending me these beautiful paints to experiment with!

I wanted to do something a little different with them, so instead of simply testing the colours, I decided to create a painting that brings them all together.

And this is what came out of it!

I had so much fun exploring the colours and seeing how they worked together.

I’ve called this one Grateful for Colour, and it feels like the perfect name for this little project.

Thank you again, Tint, for the lovely surprise and for giving me something new to play around with! ❤️

A mid-century mood with bold colour and considered detail. 👏🏼🤎
Spread across three levels, our Preston townhouse project was all about making every square metre work harder without losing its personality. Bold colour drenching, rich timber tones and statement finishes bring warmth and character to every corner. From the dramatic powder room and moody garage, to the cocoon-like entry, every space is designed with purpose. A compact townhouse with a big personality, where thoughtful planning meets eclectic style to improve the home’s functionality and create cohesion from one room to the next. #ydb_xprestontownhouse

THE REVEAL NOW LIVE!!! 🎥 🧱🏠🔨

We've been pretty MIA the past month finishing off The Brick House Reno and we are so proud of what we've achieved!

If you love a good before & after head over to our YouTube channel (link in bio) and check out what we've been up to!

Thanks to everyone who's helped along the way, what an amazing opportunity to be able to bring a tired 1980's brick home back to life!

I think my house is trying to tell me something… 🤭

Somewhere along the way, green walls, vintage furniture and a paintbrush permanently in my hand became my entire personality.

And the more I lean into what I love, the more our home starts to feel like us.

No grand plan. No perfectly thought-out design scheme.

Just a whole lot of trial and error, projects that get a little out of hand, and apparently… a lot of green.

Anyway, if you need me, I’ll be over here finding something else to paint green. 🫣

Tell me I’m not the only one who can’t seem to leave a room alone once the creative ideas start flowing!

This one was a requested as a repeat style for a previous flip and I LOVE a stain and stripe. A bit of both worlds, a whole lot of character.

What do you think? A bit much for your place or is millennial grey finally dead!?

ULTIMATE GLOW UP INCOMING ✨

Well, it’s safe to say we’ve been dreaming of painting this beauty since the day she arrived! 🤍 But with a vintage van, there were plenty of other jobs to tick off before we could finally get to the fun part....

Four days of hard work, and they were VERY well spent! 😍🌿

What do you think of her new look?!

We used Paper Plane paired with a custom soft sage green from @tint.paint ✨

And we might be a little bit in love! 🤍🚐

Now onto installing the Windows.....

Thoughtful design across the ground floor✨
In this townhouse, the ground floor was reimagined to make better use of the available space. We saw an opportunity to rethink the layout, improve storage and introduce an additional toilet to make everyday living more practical. A combination of rich colours, contrasting textures and considered details transforms these often overlooked spaces into standout features of the home. 😍

👉🏼From the bold Breccia Pernice marble-look tiles and compact ADP vanity in the powder room, to the functional laundry with Florentine Walnut cabinetry, every detail balances practicality with style.

👉🏼In the garage, deep Doom paint, handmade green tiles and a statement benchtop bring personality. While the entry welcomes you with rich Taupedo walls, burgundy floor tiles and purple grout, leading into a light-filled stairwell.
