This week’s What I Wrote, What I Learned is a little throwback to a feature in The Gloss that I was quoted in, on creating morning routines that actually last. The piece was written by Maria Neuman. @tinywonderful
“If you don’t make an early morning routine work for you, you’ll give it up after three days.”

I still stand by that. Sustainable habits matter far more than perfect ones. A routine doesn’t need to look impressive or Instagramable to be life-changing, or even life improving.

As with everything I wrote or am asked to contribute to, I can bring it back to yoga philosophy. There’s nothing I can’t relate back to yoga!

I SUCK at plating, BUT I’m outstanding at eating! The finished potatoes with a fried egg… it was soooo good, and worth waiting for them to cook!

Had outstanding Roman-style pizza with Maria at @pizzeria_da_baffetto this evening! Definitely recommend it if you’re ever in Rome! Super thin crust and so good!

Thank you so much @elledecorationuk for including @jonathanadler in a trinket tray edit, a mention of @studioduggan in new @phaidonpress book by Joan Barzilay Freund plus the last word on built in bathrooms. Next, @sibylcolefax’s relaunched Ebury in a fascinating chintz story by @kassiastclair and last but not least @ercol_uk in @alicefinney’s storage edit. Congrats also to the team for the brilliant ABC results - so well deserved!

Autumn might be lovely for animals to hunker down & hibernate for a well deserved rest & to recover and store up their energy, something us humans may need a bit of a hand with. 🍁🧡✨

Had a lovely chat with Maria Neuman of @theglossmag about why I’m advocating for a soft revolution in my new book ‘It’s All Too Much’ to gently push back on hyper-productivity and over-riding our physical, mental & emotional needs.

No.10 is how to challenge perfectionism in the full interview on @theglossmag website.

Who is with me - #softclothesactivated let’s kick back say yes to more rest and no to it all being too much. Light the fire 🔥 & walk away from overwhelm & burnout.
