Looking back on a wonderful first night of the new music series ‘Flat Mountain in de Knop’. @tipjarsongs and @dustystrayofficial had the honor of playing this first edition and they did a great job. If you weren’t there you’ve surely missed something special! But not to worry: on November 25th we’ll be back in the @rozenknop_ehv with another exciting double bill: @merelsophiemusic and the @dietervanderwesten Trio. So make sure to put it in your calendar & get your tickets in time. See you there!

Thanks again to @ronaldrietman for the beautiful pictures!

We had a couple nights off from club dates on our Euro tour, which allowed for a couple of house concerts. The one you see here was for a warm crowd of around twenty friends, hosted by Bart and Arianne, my gracious hosts, who have a musical group of their own called @tipjarsongs ( go check them out!) They’ve been doing this house concert series in their home in Nuenen, NL for a few years and have had greats like Kevin Welch, Susan Gibson, Walt Wilkins and many others. It has been a delight getting to know them, and their dogs. There’s something about European hospitality, and sensibilities, and the quality of their coffee, and art, conversations, and appreciation for music, among other things, that I sure enjoy. I met Bart through my dear friend and mentor @walt_wilkins back in Texas, and Bart and Walt have played together for years, and this is where he stays when he comes over. Susan Gibson also has a guitar and banjo that live at Bart’s house for when she comes over. I’m definitely in good company. And as ever, grateful.

Tonight we have another house concert in Maasbree, NL - dm for details

#flatmountaincollective #flatmountainindeknop tipjar #dustystray

Woensdag!
